"I went here with my mother for dinner, she had the terryaki salmon which was served with vegetables, I had salmon sashimi and pork gyoza, all of which were good, unnoteworthy dishes. The owner sat in the corner drinking wine and chatting to the waitress (who was the only one working on the floor) and occasionally barked an order in Japanese at her. She had no situational awareness and we sat with empty drinks while we finished our meals, my mother wanted a mineral water and I another Sake but that would have required uncomfortably getting up out of my seat, walking over to the waitress and interupting her conversation that by this stage had lasted at least 15 mins.I haven't seen this sort of thing in my life, eventually we had to interupt her to ask for the bill as we had to leave. The owner then proceeded to distastefully stare at us as we had requested service thus spoiling his enlivened conversation. One of the most unprofessional displays of trying to run a restaurant I have ever seen."

"Over many years my family, friends and I have been patronising Chun Po, enjoying the superb food and friendly service. Some of our favourite dishes - ones we have ordered again and again over the years and found the quality consistently good, include: Crisp-skinned Chicken, San Choi Bao, Spicy Deep-fried Garfish, Japanese Silken Tofu with Vegetables, Chicken with Fresh Chestnuts in Claypot, Whole Deep-fried Flounder, and my sister's favourite Whitebait Omelette. The menu is extensive, and I've never been disappointed by anything ordered. And we always appreciate the complimentary fresh fruit that is brought to the table with the bill!"

As soon as we set foot inside, the small but cosy interior instantly made me feel at home. Perfect for the casual late morning brunch catch up, or a sweet late arvo couple date.<br/ <br/ Customer service<br/ As soon as we walked in, we were warmly greeted by the cheerful staff working there. They were extremely nice, friendly and helpful for the entire hour we were there.<br/ <br/ Food<br/ Do not let the small size of the cafe fool you into thinking it is just an ordinary cafe. Quite the opposite, it is anything but from vegan pancakes and scrambled tofu, to nourishing buddha bowls and asian stir fries, the menu has you covered for breakfast and lunch.<br/ We chose to go with the falafel bowl and the green sister stir fry with tahini dressing. I must say it did not disappoint at all. Filled with all the veggies (braised cauliflower, roasted capsicum, mildly spicy but utterly satisfying falafels, pickled cucumbers, lima beans, bok choy, bamboo shoots and tofu just to name a few), it is sure to fill you up with nutritional goodness while bringing your stomach the happiness it deserves a double win win!"

"The food was really good but the service was sadly lacking. We were not shown to a table, poured our own drinks, had to ask for water and ice buckets then after the main meal was cleared away, never saw them again until we approached them for the bill and then again went to them to pay. They didn't even offer the menu again for dessert."

"A group of four of us were looking for a bite to eat along Glenhuntly Rd and took a chance on Phad Thai. We thoroughly enjoyed the food, which was very very tasty, and oh so inexpensive. $75 for four of us, samosas to begin...with, then jasmine rice, chicken fried rice, stir fry ginger and beef, green curry, Calamari salad, and shared palm sugar cakes. All delicious, and plenty to share. No tea or coffee was a surprise, but there is a variety of cold drinks on offer. We stuck with water, and that was fine. It’s a smallish restaurant but with tables spread out well, there was no noisy hubbub. One waitress to serve everyone, and she did a stirling job, also serving takeaway customers. I am surprised to read the other reviews ours was a positive experience!"
