"I found out that this shop sold GF Fish and have thoroughly enjoyed a few meals over recent months. However, Friday 7th Jan 2022 was different. I tried to phone ahead to order GF but no reply on several occasions. I drove 8 miles to the shop and found myself in a long queue. Quite happy to wait my turn. After waiting 15 minutes to order, I asked an assistant for GF Cod. The shop owner, angrily commented that I don 't do Gluten Free between 5-8pm on a Friday . I can understand this but he then snapped I 've been clear about this, many times! I did not need to be spoken to like this. I then bough my meal elsewhere."

"We have been here before and thought to give it another try. Maybe a sign of the times and maybe understandable that there was a very reduced menu at quite inflated prices. Our table had been pre-booked, reserved. There were three other tables of which...I was aware . We had chosen our seats and then after a short while ordered and got our drinks and then waited twenty minutes and still no one had taken our food order. Customers who came in after us were being served their food and we were still waiting to order ! one of our party had to go and ask for service which apologetically then happened. Obviously we then had to wait for our meals which due to the choices didn't get served together. An apology was made with the remark there was only two people serving, then we were told the Landlady had come to help out. The food was hot and enjoyable once we got it. It is only a small venue and having booked our table it was very disappointing to have received poor service."

"We heard this place was beautiful and we had to try! we had a nice roasted, mushroom fountain with bratkartoffeln and veg. the children had nuggets and chips. they are very helpful and nice. we sat outside with our dogs so that it was practical that they are dog friendly! all reasonable and tasty, I really enjoyed this meal "

"Went there for lunch for the first time a couple of days ago after glowing recommendation from friends. Not disappointed. The ambience was warm and welcoming, enhanced by the wood stove and comfortable seating. The food was delicious and reasonably priced and the service faultless....What's not to like. Looking forward to our next visit."
