"I would never have found this place if it wasn't for my friend Wally who knew I would like it. I'm such a fan of this little market and restaurant. This place for me was instantly comfortable. Ibrahim is as genuinely nice a guy as you will ever meet. I love his smile. He bakes white and wheat pita bread and supplies restaurants all over town. He also sells lamb and goat at good prices. He has a hot table with lamb shank and a goat stew, rice and stewed okra both times I was there. One time he had white beans. I had the shank over rice topped with the okra with a little more on the side, pita and a side salad with a soda tax for 16.50. That's a bargain for lamb shank folks, and it was very well prepared. I have not tried the goat yet, that's next if I can overcome my urge to order the shawarma. Oi the shawarma! It's unlike any shawarma you've probably ever had. It's not traditional because it's cooked on a flat top grill, not on a rotisserie and Ibrahim makes his... with curry, his own blend of curry spices. Absolutely delicious. A destination sandwich. Every ingredient so fresh. The sandwich has lettuce, tomato, pickles and ranch. Pro tip he can add Serrano peppers! I asked him to add hot sauce to mine. He may have added mustard automatically because I saw a bottle of yellow mustard. Or his curry may be mustard y. Yet another mystery to solve. So many questions. A H also sells labneh, a new obsession of mine. It's yogurt that has been drained so it's thick and spreadable like cream cheese but has the tartness of yogurt. You can eat it with honey or olives, cucumber or paprika, olive oil, fruit, my mind spins when I think of the possibilities. Go see Ibrahim and try everything. This kind man deserves Nashville's support."

"We stopped by the L&L Market. We heard Thai Ni Yom had delicious Thai food, but we were disappointed. We tried some spring rolls and were very disappointed. They were very overcooked, and the dipping sauce had a thick layer of crushed peanuts."

"The vibes and atmosphere here remind me of local Asian street restaurants. The food isn't far off either. If in the mood for some good portions of Thai this is a good place to stop. Wish they offered a military discount. Either way good spot to stop."

"Be sure to get a samosa. A group of coworkers and I make sure to stop here at least once a week for lunch (and typically more than once). We love it! I get the chicken rice, chana masala, and chili chicken each time I go. The goat curry is also good but it has bones in it. Veggie Korma is also great. I recommend going multiple times and trying everything!"
