"Only tonight I ordered to eat, recently moved to dronfield. eating was very tasty, was really hot that we could not blame anything of it, my partner collected it and said that the staff was also nice and friendly. in any case order from here again."

"We came here this afternoon for a family birthday. We were a large group and our table wasn’t ready, so we had to sit/ stand and wait for the people on our table to leave, which felt a little awkward and uncomfortable for us and...I’m sure them too. We had emailed our order through, as requested, three days prior to our booking. Our food came out and we were missing a whole meal and two meals had mushy peas, which we hadn’t asked for. The member of staff told us we hadn’t ordered the missing meal (a hunters chicken) and read our order as he had written it. We had to go to our email and show him that we had in fact ordered two hunters chickens and not one. One was made for the teenager who was missing and brought out. Unfortunately by the time it was brought out, most of the rest of our party had almost finished their meals! Some of our party went to the bar to order desserts and the staff asked if they could have the table they’d vacated for other guests, so they were obviously busy and we began to feel we were in the way. We hurried our desserts and left, so they could reuse our table. Despite this, the pies we ordered were absolutely delicious, the chips are some of the best I have ever eaten and the curry’s were beautiful. The child’s meal of sausage and mash didn’t come with gravy, which seemed bizarre, but we had extra with all the pies, so were able to give him some of ours. I’d like to come again, we live locally and pass on our way to and from work, so it is convenient, but I don’t think it’s suitable for a large booking, especially on a Sunday, I don’t think they can cope. We will try midweek next time and definitely have a pie again!"

"Beautiful place to eat something in dronfield. had the steak pipe, which was nice, but the big clobig chips were a little under boiled. they also made £5 cocktails that were good. the staff was friendly and the service was good."

"Been ordering from here 6 years but will not be ordering again after tonight. Waited 3 hours for our food which in the end we had to cancel... after being told 45 mins we heard nothing after 1.5 hours, rang again and told another 30 mins, rang again after 45 mins and they said another 45 mins at which point it’s gone 9pm and we had to cancel and make ourself a sandwich at home so we could go to bed. Really really disappointed, totally wasted our evening..."

"Ordered a takeaway, this is officially the worse Indian I've ever had. And I've worked in several. Where do I start it arrived late, I contacted the restaurant 3 times to ask where my order was I was fobbed off continuously. The food arrived, on reflection I wish it hadn't bothered ,it certainly wasn't worth it. the only words I can think of is dreadful beyond dreadful. It was stone cold. One of the dishes I ordered was unrecognisable. Absolutely with out a shadow of a doubt NEVER AGAIN."

"Samad Cottage has managed to stand the test of time. It opened in 1984. They have managed to maintain their high standards throughout the period. The restaurant is situated in the heart of Old Dronfield and has 3 fantastic pubs, all within walking distance to the restaurant. It's important to state that the restaurant is upstairs and may not be suitable for people who are disabled. Well done, Ali and your fantastic team. Food: 5"

"We moved about 1.5 years ago to wingerworth, where cc tandoori is the closest, I can honestly say that it is one of the best takeaway curry we ever had. we have a curry almost every week and have never been disappointed. if they could only bring back the spiced/tandoori lammschürze, they were incredible and took off the menu when they updated it."
