"Went her for lunch on 2 occasions during our recent stay in Stansbury & was extremely impressed with the quality of the food presented. Given that Stansbury is a small rural, coastal township, with limited dining options, we expected the usual 'pub' fare & atmosphere. The Dalrymple is top notch with a lovely aspect over the bay, from most of the tables in it's quite large dining area. The menu caters to most tastes & their Seafood options are second to none. We sampled both their versions of the oysters, which were freshly shucked, plump, juicy & flavoursome. Their trio of fish included a panco crumbed flathead fillet & a King George Whting fillet plus some superbly tender salt & pepper squid, accompanied by a host of chunky fries & a very tasty salad. Good selection of wines available at the bar (we shared a bottle of Nepenthe Sauvignon Blanc) by the glass or bottle & the staff are very friendly, helpful & attentive. They even let us know where to buy our own fresh seafood prior to our departure. When we visited on the following day, we were remembered & greeted like old friends! This time we tried their bread platter with dipping oil & dukkah. Nice & light & good combination of flavours. Spouse had the Thai curry with beanshoots, which he said was fresh & fragrant & a nice sized serve. I opted for the flathead fillets which were just as good as the one I had had on the previous day. Another delightful meal & this one was washed down with a very tasty Riesling. Plenty of space here to enjoy a casual holiday lunch that is well above the average & would leave lots of city pub meals for dead! Will definitely return to the Dalrymple next time we are in the area."
