"Ordered a chicken jalfrezi which was yellow tasteless no peppers in it and very little chicken the tray was crushed due to another curry being sat on top of it , my son had a chicken balti again yellow in colour absolutely tasteless and not...enough chicken in it, a complete waste of money I've been eating Indian for 50 years and this rates as one of the worst I've ever had!!"

"Tonight we ordered two portions of fish and chips and peas. We were told that the fish would be 5 minutes and were surprised that in less than one minute an employee from the back came with two broken fish and went on to... wrap it up. My partner and I looked at how we thought it was strange (we usually don't use this chippy), when we came home and cut into the fish, it was raw and sleepy! The chips were boiled and edible! We had to tie the whole lot!!!"

"We visited last night for dinner with our friends. Firstly, the inside of the pub has a wonderful old school feel to it that is rare nowadays. Nice open fire going and great atmosphere. For food, we had a sharing platter between four of us...then for main we had the feather blade steak, duck and pork belly. All absolutely fantastic. The service throughout was superb and the wine was well priced. We left at 11 after three hours well fed and well oiled and the bill was more than reasonable for what we had. Really impressed. My only criticism would be the desert. We all had the Black Forest Eton mess and there was far too much cream and little else. It’s a shame as we all said if this was as good as the starter and main it would be up there with the best meals we have ever had. All in all, bravo to the church inn. Fantastic atmosphere, wonderful food and top level service."
