"My mom went home one day with some of Zao's barbecue dishes - which we all enjoyed. So on another day when my mom wanted to eat at Zao again, we obliged.<br>

Having already tasted their barbecue dishes, we wanted to try something new. We had Crab Cakes for appetizer, Zao Pho for my brother, Zao Bowl for me, and Seafood in Claypot for my mom. The Crab Cakes tasted good but what made it stand out for me was the cilantro mayonnaise. It was so good I used it as a dip for the spring rolls that came with my Zao Bowl. Speaking of the Zao Bowl, it was filling but not so fulfilling. I only enjoyed the toppings but not so much the cold vermicelli noodles. As far as I can remember, my brother enjoyed his Zao Pho very much but only after adding (almost) all of the condiments that came with it. I was also able to try the Seafood in Claypot and I liked the chewy texture of the squid as well as the sauced up rice.<br>

The star of that night's dinner would have to be their Tamarind Iced Tea. It tasted like the Moniegold chewy tamarind candy which is our family's favorite. I forgot how many refills we had but my brother and I had A LOT.<br>

As much as some of their food tasted good, those that I enjoyed weren't exactly Vietnamese dishes. So after eating at Zao, I came to the realization that I am not a fan of Vietnamese food, unfortunately. I'd still like to give their Calamansi Tart a try, though."

I've dined in both branches (Makati and BGC), and I've always been satisfied with the food and service.<br>

Serving time can be a drag sometimes especially if you come in at peak hours but personally, I don't mind since I really love their food.<br>

My absolute favorite is the Original Tenderloin. If it's your first time at Saboten, I highly recommend getting this or the Original Loin. <br>

My boyfriend likes their claypot katsu and curry katsu as well.<br>
<br>
As for their desserts, the hazelnut cake is okay. I wouldn't mind ordering it again but I prefer desserts from other establishments."

"Even though this place is always jam packed with people during lunch hours, we still brave through the lines and experience the "30 minute waiting time" just to have our meals here. Like the others, I prefer the express outlets better because of their more affordable prices. Hoping for a newer menu soon!"

"Actually I am a fan of huh and beer in makati, but since I in mckinly hill the one near is toskana. was always there, but never the taste and service as it could be. personal not knowing and eating it like that. we speak English, they always answer tagalog. we ask for arta spicy salad side dishes with noodles, because we have forgotten the names, just say no, we have not salat with noodle finally I found it in the menu. I order hot spicy chicken, I have this terrible bun I have ever seen! where is the sauce?"
