"The delicious food wins hands down!This restaurant is located in the shad of a 300 year old banyan tree which is truly majestic and awe inspiring. Since it is the rainy season, the outdoor seating is closed but the indoor seating is very comfortable and still affords a view of the massive banyan tree.The team at The Banyan know their job well and are well trained. They made some good recommendations and suggestions.For starters, we sampled the stir fried lotus stem in black bean sauce.This was excellent and had just the right amount of crunch. We also tried the Vietnamese garlic beef which were tender strips off beef cooked to perfection.We opted to steer clear of the regular noodles and rice options and instead continued our culinary journey with the Adobo bao which was succulent and juicy and went very well with the grilled pork belly.The accompanying sauces placed on the table are all superb and are a must try, especially the mint sauce.We ended our meal with the Belgian Chocolate Gelato which was also superb !"

"What a find?! And how did we never found this place before. We decided to go to gunpowder for dinner and it was closed . A guy standing outside the restaurant suggested to go to this place but even it was closed . A day...after we thought to check out this place based on the review and man are we delighted that we did. The place was super busy and I don’t even remember when was the last time we waited to get a table. This restaurant is small but serves absolutely delicious food. We ordered fish thali, chicken chilli, chicken cafreal, dal and rice and everything was super yum. Their serradura was heavenly. The only downside was our server that day who was in such a hurry, and had a horrible attitude. But the food was delicious. A must visit for all food lovers"
