"Every experience I 've had with THIS Amy 's location in particular has been nothing short of stellar. I live not too far from here and much like many other overworked/underpaid adults my age eat way too much ice cream. Therefore, I can assure you my critique is well founded. The ice cream is nothing short of 5 stars. As far as the customer service and the personnel goes also 5 stars. I scrolled through some other (negative) reviews and even though we 're all entitled to our opinions, I 'm entitled to say that they don 't know what they 're talking about! Without being too revealing, I once stopped in LITERALLY 1 minute before closing time to get ice cream for my girlfriend who was having a particularly rough time of the month . I was fully expecting to be met with (justifiable) disdain by the employees who 'd already almost finished closing shop, but it was a calculated decision... Anyways, the girls working couldn 't have been nicer. We shared pleasant convo while they scooped my ice cream and I went on my way. These were teenage girls, by the way. I 'm much older and have spent years working in the service industry and even I wouldve been disgruntled with a visit THAT late. Today, I went in with a different request. I asked if I could hang a flyer for a fundraiser I 'm running for a friend. I didn 't have to tell them what it was for (my brother who has terminal brain cancer). Not only did they say yes, but I was given a prime location to hang the flyer. As cliche as it sounds, I now go to Amy 's for more than just the ice cream. I go because I know I can expect to be met with cool people with big smiles."

"This place was a great start to the bachelorette party! The tasting room is small and separate from the main house, only our party and the waiter were occupants for the 2-3 hours we were there. Great ambiance and seating arrangements! It was very comfortable and laid back. Only con is the lack of food options so make sure you’ve had a meal before spending time tasting wines. Many of our party ordered wine tasting flights which were 3 glasses. The staff was very knowledgable about each wine as he poured our glass. I will definitely be returning when I visit Austin again!"

"I was debating which flavor ice cream to get at Amy 's. The cashier recommended the Mexican vanilla, but as I love chocolate I was deciding between the Belgian and dark chocolate flavors... I asked the cashier and he recommended the dark if I want something richer and more chocolate y. Honestly, it was still too sweet for my liking. I rarely don 't finish ice cream, but I could only eat about half my scoop. Also I didn 't get any toppings or crush 'ns ... it seems like a Coldstone type of place where they can mix the toppings into the scoop on a cold stone. Maybe that would 've better balanced the plain scoop of ice cream.Amy 's was walking distance from our dinner spot, I don 't know if I necessarily would go out of my way to visit there again.Hats off to the cashier who stayed open a few mins late to accommodate the patrons in line!"
