"Good was good, but the setup pre match was bad. a member of the staff who was good but overrun, accompanied by a floor manager who didn't look like she had previously worked in a restaurant. eating was tasty, but disturbed by slow service and drinks."

"Absolutely amazing! This is not a cheap meal, but it's not meant to be. You're paying a premium price for premium product and service. And you won't be disappointed. There wasn't one piece that didn't speak excellence. And in fact, I was left wanting more. I highly recommend getting a good sake to go with the meal. It compliments things well and doesn't get in the way like a beer or cocktail might. The staff can help make great choices based on what you tend to like and will offer tasters of anything before serving to make sure you're happy with the selection. I love Sushi by Bou, but have now found another love in Sushi by Bae. I will be a lifetime customer and look forward to my next meal here."

"Edamame was arctic cold. It was chewy and had no flavor. Everything basically came at once even tho restaurant was practically empty. Except the last dish (1 of three main courses) which came 20 minutes after the other two—and after we asked where it was. There was no pacing to the meal. The servers were so awkward about where to put new dishes. If they are going to serve everything at once they should get more comfortable about moving things around. There was either too much service or too little. Servers took away things we needed but later neglected to take dirty dishes. They didn’t seem synched among themselves. The food was not special. It is nothing like the namesake in Sausalito which is very special and warm. The fish (sashimi) was a bit stiff. At best it felt generic. At worst it felt embarrassing. Perhaps it is not related to Sushi Ran in Sausalito? The two restaurant experiences are nothing alike."

"I think the website and description of sushi by bou in south is not representative for the offer / normal sushi by bou experience. it is mentioned that the Southampton site ny is similar to an Omakase menu, but it is a regular sushi menu. it was also not revealed everywhere that they did not have their fleet license. I think it would be best if the Bou team were able to present these expectations before booking the guests."
