"I was just in the area to do something and eat here for lunch. The location is in an enlivened area on James and it may sometimes be a bit difficult to come here when you try to make a left hand... turn depending on the time of day. This is a historical Wendy's because it is the location of the first Wendy's in Canada. (Hamilton is the first for these things and also has the first Tim Horton). Close to the door is a plaque. The restaurant itself has gone through a recent (and much needed) redesign that made the service much more efficient, this place was previously remarkably slow. The food is typical of Wendy's, but one of the things I like is their beverage dispensing machine that lets you have dozens of different options such as a Raspberry Coke or a Vanilla Barq's rootbeer. (And you can mix them together if you want). Good fast food option safe when you are in the area and they now offer delivery via SkipTheDishes."

"In the evening I had the need for a quick meal and thought to Wendy 's on Centennial Dr. I was very disappointed when I came to find tables uncleaned and employees play around without concerns for customers. The young lady who took my order was to clean behind the checkout and wore no uniform or gloves. Did she even wash her hand before she offered me my meal? I could see the cooking line and the chefs were nt wearing gloves to treat food! My food arrived very quickly and decided to eat instead of taking out as I originally wanted. My hamburger was only warm and the pommes were cold, but the staff continued to have fun while the tables were not cleaned and the customers were ignored, except for 2 young men flirting the young ladies with... too expensive, cold food..... disgusting and not back! Wendy's main office called to complain and was completely switched off by the sound and attitude of the customer service provider. She was not worried at all about my complaint or advice to fix the questions I noticed.... After 30 years working in hospitality, one of the first things you should learn is to LISTEN for customers! Btw, I also called the Hamilton Health Department to register my complaint about the food treatment practices of this QSR. The 3 people I spoke with didn't seem surprised and thought my complaint was a bit humorous, maybe they get a lot of complaints about this WENDY 'S!! NASTY!"

"Update to the updateAt least they're consistent. This restaurant is filthy. They don't even clean the tables.And yeah, the Freestyle is a disaster.But the food is as good as any other Wendy's.UpdateWeird. Still pretty much the same. NO COKE in one Freestyle. The other unit sprayed pop presumably because of a poorly installed nozzle.Garbage containers overflowing. Dining room dirty.The food was okay though so I'll adjust the ratings.This location has really gone downhill. We were the only people in the restaurant but yet the service was terrible. Order taker had a difficult time understanding and communicating.Dining room was filthy.Fries were cold.Both Freestyle machines were poorly assembled (nozzles not properly attached). Everyone got a nice sticky shower.One Freestyle had NO COKE. The other had no lemonade.There seemed to be lots of employees in the kitchen.I feel that food delivery companies are at least partly to blame. That seemed to be their focus"

"We were very disappointed at this location today, Apr 24 lunch. My wife ordered the Bacon Deluxe Burger Single Combo and I had the Jalapeno Fresco Spicy Chicken Sandwich with side salad. First of all, when we went to sit down, almost all of...the free tables were dirty and the restaurant was not that busy. Secondly, the bacon on my wife's burger was practically uncooked (she could not eat it) and her fries were cold. My food was good. While we were eating, a staff member finally came to wipe the tables, obviously with no great effort nor enthusiasm. Staff definitely need more/better training."
