"Took my mum for Mother’s Day lunch and it was perfect! We were so well looked after, even my four-legged sister was treated like their best guest. The burgers were delicious, the wine was delicious, the doggy treat pigs ears were… delicious :D I have been here many times and plan to take mum there again next time she’s in London!"

"The Becher House is a combination wine bar restaurant. If you are sitting near the bar section, it can be a bit noiseless. Where we sat was good. The first waiter was attentive and wine selection very good. The food was good, but the steak was overpriced. Like the trio of deserts. We booked the two for an offer that if we didn't feel the food and wine were overpriced."

"I met a friend one night after work. We were always here when we were working around the corner. For not so many years we have been looking forward to a bit of nostalgia, but were bitterly disappointed from the beginning to the end. It took at least 15 minutes to get someone's attention just to order a drink. We ordered a side of the Artisan bread and butter for the table, which is a slightly roasted sliced bread, without explanation. After waiting 5 minutes without luck to get someone's attention, I went to our waiter to ask why we had toast instead of the advertised bread. Then I was told that they ran out of Artisan Bread. When I asked if we could just have normal bread (instead of roasted, I was told that the toast on our table was the last thing they had! The main course, it must be said, was delicious! Bangers and mash a classic! Go to dessert! We shared a Treacle Tart with Clotted Cream. The amount of cream that was presented was a joke! A teaspoon full. My friend asked about the part of the cream and asked if we could have something more. He went. He came about 10 minutes later with 2 bowls of coconut ice!! We then learned that the cream was already served was only double cream and not the advertised Dorset Clotted Cream, as it was from this... and now from the standard double cream!! It seemed that the kitchen simply did not order their waiters from what was served or what was available to order. They also seemed so sad to be among servants, on this occasion I must make a negative assessment. I will still go back to our other favorite wine bars from Davy, the Becher House in London Bridge, Davy's at St James and The Crusting Pipe in Covent Garden. We were not completely dismissed :"
