"This is not just another pho place. It is an upscale Vietnamese restaurant that offers authentic Vietnamese food that is crafted with ingredients that are imported from Vietnam. The taste of the food is very unique, the texture of their noodles are different from any pho I’ve ever had. There is a good variety of different authentic Vietnamese dishes that I’ve never had and it’s a great opportunity to really get to know real Vietnamese food."

"I researched on Trip Advisor to find a good all you can eat sushi place to take my son for his 25th birthday. We were persuaded by the excellent reviews on Trip Advisor, so my husband and I took our son and his girlfriend to Sashimi Island on January 6, 2016. We were very let down. I was initially a bit put off by having a TV in the restaurant because it took away from the ambiance, but I was prepared to overlook that as some people like that, and the price was very reasonable. The service was quick, but not nice. The server picked up our order very quickly and did not ask us if we would like drinks. Then every time food was dropped off at our table, it was so fast that we would miss the opportunity to order drinks. I could have overlooked that since eventually we were able to order drinks. The sushi and sashimi were fine, though a chicken dish we ordered tasted a bit freezer burned or stale. The tempura shrimp and vegetables were fine, but a bit greasy, with breading that was a bit too heavy. I wouldn't expect the very best food for $20 per person, so I would have overlooked the food being mostly fine, but not great. However, I cannot overlook the fact that ALL 4 OF US GOT SICK STOMACHS. My son and I both got sick before we even left the restaurant. We went straight to Shoppers to buy Imodium to try to salvage the birthday celebration. We tried to go to another restaurant for coffee and dessert, but within an hour my son's girlfriend also got sick. Then, later in the evening, my husband got sick too. He was still sick and needing Imodium for two days. I have never written a review before, and I am not normally a person to complain about anything, but I feel compelled to review this place and to disclose a serious problem we encountered."

"A soup place has taken over this spot a few months ago. They used to sell quick Chinese food both dine in and take out. Perfect alternative to Chinatown on rainy days or bad weather for quick Chinese food cravings. Too bad they closed."

"I’m not sure how anyone can give this place a bad review, we have been customers of theirs for at least 15 years. We order Chinese food for special occasions. We have never been disappointed once. The food is always delicious, it’s always hot, always fresh and delivery is always quick. We particularly love the lemon chicken. The lady who delivers the food is my favourite, she’s always so friendly and nice!!! If you want good old fashioned Chinese this is the place for you."

"Tried Tofu special - (boring and lacking flavour) and spicy beef( spice was good but dish was still not interesting). Needs more effort, or a better cook.Soup was not warmed through.Sent it back.Maybe main menu is better prepared, but I will never know."

"We go here quite often for a quick and reasonably priced lunch. Service is fast and friendly. The place is usually occupied at lunch on weekdays but not too crowded. There are a number of lunch specials on the menu that include a choice of spring roll or soup. We have tried most of the specials. My new favourite dish is the spicy noodle with veggie and tofu. The dish has just the right amount of spice (3.5 on a hotness scale of 5). I also like the spicy chicken. They have other dishes that are less spicy and sweeter that I have tried such as the mango chicken or the chicken pad thai. I find those dishes a bit too sweet. There are some in my group that consistently order the chicken pad thai, so it is not that sweet - just too sweet for me. The food quality is very good (7 for some dishes and 8 for my faves). Considering the reasonable prices for lunch and good food, I will continue to frequent this place."
