"We stopped here based on the excellent Tripadvisor reviews for our last meal in Australia before heading home, and it was a wonderful way to close out our trip. The service was friendly and impeccable, and the food delicious. Diverse choices on the menu, but all three of our dishes were spot on - the chef is very capable. We found WA to be more expensive than we'd expected, but for the quality of food, this restaurant was a bargain. Beautiful setting, very relaxing listening to the pouring rain on the roof while we ate, comfortable and warm."

"The restaurant was very quiet for a Thursday lunchtime and we chose to sit outside under the gorgeous wisteria arbor; a lovely setting. The mains menu was kept to a small selection, I think perhaps the chef is working on the principle of doing a small number of dishes really well rather than many in mediocrity, and from what we had, I would say this is a sound philosophy. Each member of our party of three elected to just have a main course: one quail, which was said to be really good, and two salt water barramundi. The $39 price tag was justified with the meal being a cut above those at some other local restaurants. The fish was cooked to perfection; juicy inside but with a crispy skin. The flavours were excellent. Wine was priced from around $8.50 per glass, although the serving of my white was small in comparison to the reds at the table, and certainly to the serving size at other Swan Valley restaurants. Despite this I would return just for the Barramundi."

"Had the best lunch here, where every meal was delicious. the garlic bread on GF bread should die for it. had the fish on an aubergine sauce for the net again it was so delicious and made it with a cream bubble. with a bottle. champagne and attentive service, it was such a pleasant afternoon. mandoon is my favorite place in the swan valley."
