"We've been frequenting this chocolate shop since their first venture in Dunham several years back. The chocolates and truffles are worth every penny - fresh and high quality, with an excellent variety to choose from. They also carry an eclectic assortment of other sweets: gourmet jellybeans, candied fruit, ginger Chimes, etc etc. I love the cupcakes, and the tortes are de rigeur for when we crave a special dessert. The owner is a charming woman who remembers what we like and always makes us feel like valued customers. Overall the best pastry/chocolate place in the region. Sets a high bar for new enterprises to equal."

"I ordered the hot and acid soup and it was too thick, not spicy and cold. I just wanted to eat something while I'm waiting to pick up my order. there was only 1 other person at the place around 19 o'clock Wednesday, and it took the waitress to come 10 minutes and take my order, she was busy doing something with her phone. when I came home with my grande mélange, it was a good amount of garnel, bark, huh and pieces of pork with bones in it and loads of vegetables, brokkoli, bok choy, a few mushrooms and carrots sitting in 1/2 of clear juice with fat bubbles swimming in it. there was no taste at all, no garlic or ingwer. I was very disappointed and will never go back there. I will not recommend it to anyone."

"A couple of years ago, I liked this restaurant but unfortunately it was a mess and the last time I went to it... horror, some chairs were messed up, the milk for coffee was scrambled but the worst stopped when I went to the toilet and there were excrements of drying on the ground, that would be so much awkward. Never again will I go to this unhealthy place. the nouriture was passable and the nice waitresses but I had the degout after what I had just seen."

"Went to Fine Gueule with my husband and daughter for the lobster festival, which was well advertised at restaurant. Got there at 6:50pm and sat there for 40 minutes before anyone took our order. We were given water though and had our drinks ordered. Our...orders arrived at 8:30 !!! We were famished and by that time had very little wine left in our glasses, so we reordered a glass for our daughter. The lobster was very good, but the rice was dry and hard, as though it had been prepared earlier and rewarmed. There were no vegetables or anything else included with the meal. no entree with the 28.00$ price tag, except a small container of garlic butter in which to dip your lobster in. Overall a very poor display of a delicious Canadian seafood, which we make a point of encouraging. The wait was inexcusable, the service poor and the prices too high for what you get. The only reason to go to Fine Gueule, would be to have a breakfast on the weekend as the service is quick (you cannot make eggs sit). My advice is, go a few paces down the street to Carrement Bon, bring your own wine and enjoy a fabulous meal prepared by Patrick. Will definitely not be going back to Fine Gueule for dinner."
