"We popped in as our daughter lives nearby. The wee 4 piece fry was lovely, toast was good, tea and coffee were hot and really nice. The 2 ladies working there were friendly and we can't wait to visit again."

"Stayed here for a night with friends and family. The tall guy staff (we were told he was one of the managers) that welcomed us wasn’t really welcoming and helpful at times. We booked bedrooms but due to not having enough people as some...cancelled he decided that we shouldn’t get a key for of the rooms that we booked for, even though we paid and will not get a refund for it apparently, we are no longer entitled to use the room as there isn’t enough people when we have toddlers and + stuff which we can use that room for. Head managers had to decide if we can use the room we paid for or not for some reason. Another issue was when we required some refreshments for the kids and ourselves. As it was a bit of a hot weather, we decided that maybe it was possible to ask for some ice from the bar for our refreshments/juices. The same guy again didn’t entertain our request but instead told us that he cannot give us at least a bucket of ice and if we wanted to, we can drive to blairgowrie to buy our own this was at As much as we asked nicely, the guy ended up giving us pints full of ice and wouldn’t give anymore. To add on to this, the space in the rooms I wouldn’t complain about. However, the state of their rooms are shocking, especially in this time of pandemic. You’d expect the room will be cleaned spotless, but instead, all we found on the wall are spiderwebs and all sort of insects roaming around the room. The sink in the toilets are also dirty. The beds and the linen weren’t the best either. Also, the free breakfast given in the morning. Yes, it is free but doesn’t mean that you should serve such small portions to your guests. You don’t really charge small amount for the room either so I think an adequate amount of food wouldn’t hurt your business. However, the ladies that served us during breakfast are all fantastic and friendly. The hospitality they have shown us really have made up for how the guy staff treated us the night before."

"We had a beer in this lounge to fire the fake. the natives were in numbers and fun to observe. decent atmosphere somewhat more elevated than a pub. They can eat here and have the most dings they in. the fancier restaurant (at the same prices) can get."

"Advice to the owner, Japanese authenticity start with their etiquette. After booking and confirmed the reservation via OpenTable our table wasn’t ready and on top of that we were made to feel very unwelcome and made to sit near the doors away from all the other patrywhich was quite insulting. After having travelled extensively in Southeast Asia and dined at MS Japanese restaurant, the experience was really below par. Had to wait for more than hour for our food to come out of the kitchen, even then the pork cut in Tonkatsu was wrong, in my Crab Donburi bowl, there was an oyster shell and an inedible flower for decoration. Overall not to my standard"

"Having been here before and enjoyed our dining experience we knew we wouldn't be disappointed. Everyone (5 of us) had a lovely meal. The service was excellent and there was nothing that we could find fault with. Our waiter even said goodnight and enjoy your evening as he was finishing his shift. of us ate the beef rolls which was on the specials board. It was akin to a beef olive but filled with mozzarella instead of stuffing. The other 2 meals was a pasta dish and my good lady went for the lasagne which she said the last time she was here was the best ever and this time it lived up to her last comment. Everyone else had the tiramisu for dessert except myself who opted for the strawberry cheesecake. The bill came to £123 which included 2 bottles of wine, a glass of wine and 4 coffees."

"We stopped here on our way through Dundee for a lunch and everything was perfect paneer starter fish curry were best I’ve ever had. Rest of party had lamb curries which were also excellent. Well done to all the charming staff a great experience."

"Staff are great, very helpful. Room was very clean and quiet. In a c-19 environment they are definitely looking after the resident. Great value, good selection of lagers and the odd cask. Centre of town five mins walk from the beach. I was lucky with parking but there’s plenty of street parking within easy reach. I didn’t eat here but it looked great. I even found live sport around the corner (see photo) Great place in a great “superb” of Dundee."

"This restaurant is amazing every time. When we lived in the city centre we would go here regularly and since moving to the outskirts of town we hadnt been in a while and it was so nice to go back and know they are still...doing great food! During the current situation they are doing takeaway as well as eating in so we collected our order and brought it home it was well packed and still tasted amazing! Would recommend and will definitely be back!"
