"Kind staff (very acomodating and pacient server), delicious food (loved the vegetable soup). Give good recommendations regarding the menu, clean the table several times during the meal. No complaints. Great contrast compared to other places in the city."

"WE had lunch after Marine Museum tour. Being Sept 3rd, security was tight, requiring vaccination proof and ID. This was comforting to know that all present were double vaccers. Food was quick and good. Beer on tap was very good. Fish Chips was ok...but certainly not to Newfoundland standards. Overall, very good lunch."

"Chez Mona specializes in seafood and does it very well. We have stopped here for dinner 5 times in the past 20 years and never been disappointed. The decor is simple with no frills, but the quality of the food we have eaten is extrordinary - I love both the cod tongues, which I find VERY hard to find elsewhere, and the bouillabaise, while my wife orders only the bouillabaise - huge portions are served, consisting almost entirely of various fish and scallops, nicely (but mildly) spiced, with garlic bread. If you want seafood, you won't be disappointed salmon, halibut, sole, scallops, are also on the menu. We have had bouillabaise in Provence and Quebec City, and prefer it at Mona's/ We find the prices veryreasonable."

"Nous avons pris la suite de la reine et le style était d'époque, même trop, quand nous sommes rentré à l'intérieur cela sentait le renfermé ainsi que la moisissures. Les fenêtres ne s'ouvrent pas, le matériel est vieillot, même pas de cafetière dans la chambre. Le deuxième jour il s'est mis à pleuvoir à l'intérieur de la chambre ....nous n'étions pas les seuls à avoir ce problème. bref cette auberge marche bien et a du potentiel, la nourriture est correct mais je conseille au propriétaire de sortir le porte monnaie et de rénover son établissement avant que tout parte en lambeaux."

"This is a funky place staffed by helpful friendly folk. The beers are worth trying and the food is OK for pub food. It can seem a bit dark inside. It may be more fun in the evening. Eclectic collection of bric brac make the decor interesting."

"I went with the smoked salmon. Always a safe bet and generally very good in the Gaspe. I was not at all disapointed. We also had the chocolate cake which was to die for, and very well represented in the photo. Very few people in...the place, but it is September."

"Nous avons passé 4 jours au Motel du Haut phare où se trouve ce café. C'est en fait un restaurant où vous pouvez y manger. C'est très bon et à des prix raisonnables. Attention cependant pas d'alcool disponible car ils n'ont pas la licence. Le petit déjeuner maison est copieux et excellent. Natalie qui vous accueil le matin se fera un plaisir de vous présenter ses produits. A recommander si vous passez la nuit pas loin !"
