"The pizza was very good and the Bruchetta was quite a lot, even though we had ordered it as an appetizer. By the way, the service was very nice and friendly. Only the somewhat too long waiting period left to be desired, but otherwise we were quite satisfied from our visit there."

"History: this evening we wanted to get a certificate in the town part idar in the brewhouse s. my criticism from 25.05.15. arrived there was the actually expected question: why not eat here at night? this was done quickly. after the opening euphoria, the personal no longer seems to be so much worth putting on ease, or we had caught a bad day. so: a good note, no beer drunk and from the parking lot. there is adjacent to the china restaurant “Jade” before dynasty . here we were not yet. the Asian cuisine we like. so: plan b plan c would have been eating in the etablissement “PetraIO” and from the 1st og not suitable for disabled . service: at about 19.00 o'clock we entered the restaurant and looked around after a table. the service lady came up against and showed without doubt on table 7 felt 40 tables were still free . bad was the place not, so we took place. asian german the question: “You want buffet?”. look at the neat looking buffet, why not? so we decided to have buffet. I decided to cook for garnel, inkfish and green-shaled mussels, soy sprouts, morels and broccoli. my man chose a similar combination. teriyaki was fresh and good. my co critic was still in vain. here you can decompose calorie or must have an ice pick in the baggage. pre-taste on the winter: the ice is so cold, there is only ice scratches. another gastronomic approach was more massive: whether the entire arm with pulli is in the power use in the truhe appetizing and hygienic? cleanliness and ambiente: well maintained and cleanly covered tables. toilets clean, well ventilated, some renovation could not hurt. teller arranged for self-service in the waden area of the guests below the buffet – not so great. there are also nice free air places on the surrounding outside terrace in the 1 og asian, non-overcharged, ambiente. Conclusion: we have eaten, but do not need repetition. better Asian eating is served in the wok snacks in idar and top hot on the dish. for price performance but ok."

"My wife and I brought our friends here for a double date night. The restaurant is quaint with lots of charm. The owner was quite friendly, showed us the wine cellar with vintage wines and rock wall which the restaurant is built right into. The...wine cellar was very small but it fit in perfectly with the overall ambiance. The owner even provided recommendations for Nahe wine and places to visit while we were in Germany. We had the restaurant to ourselves which was quite nice. The service was quite good and our steak was perfect. We also enjoyed the local Nahe wines which do taste different than from the Mosel region. Feinherbst rose and Spatbugrunder trocken were the highlights. The only downsides were the salads (premade and inability to split the bill between the couples. We were paying in cash (experienced travels : so it was a minimal inconvenience. Overall, a very good restaurant with good service, food, and wine that is worth the cost and a perfect way to end a visit to Idar-Oberstein."

"We have been here for many years! We still know the restaurant in the main road in Idar as well as in Algenrodt and now in Idar-Oberstein! The family are the most friendly hosts far and wide, unobtrusive but always friendly and accommodating! You just feel comfortable with Nedo and his team! The dishes are typical Italian and excellent! The pizza excellent, great dough and coating! Meat and fish a dream, the salads always crunchy and fresh! The service is 1A! Attention and in the background, but always because if you have any wishes! The card is rather small with selected us always fresh ingredients, no mass goods. There are daily recommendations from the house that you should try! And as dessert a homemade Tiramisu! Wonderful! The restaurant is located on the market square on the foot of the Rocky Church, idyllic! Inside with a lot of charm in a great ambience, in summer it is also possible to sit on it out! The Al Castello is one of our favorite Italians, we appreciate the family very much and always notice the friendly handling of guests! Who doesn't feed happy here is not to help! We wish Nedo and his family a lot of success and will come again and again!"
