"My policy so far has been only to share experiences that are good here, but I 've changed my mind after visiting this place. I 've travelled all over Italy and the restaurants have always been generally good, if not excellent, that is until this place. Let me just say that I am sorry we followed the reccommendation given in the hotel to visit this place, and we only subsequently checked TripAdvisor reviews (after this experience , most of them in Italian. Our Sardinia trip has been wonderful, all restaurants but this one were good, at times superb, and normally priced. I never complain about food in restaurants and if I am not happy or I am ripped off I never go there again and that 's it. But I want to share this experience in order to help you avoid unpleasant experiences, like the one we had, since we were insulted. We were there for dinner. My Italian is a bit broken (btw. they speak only Italian , but I do understand the basics. We ordered a starter and an orata or branzino in Italian (one is sea-bass, the other is sea-bream, not sure which is which for the main, house wine and a desset. The waiter, in Italian, told us thed didn 't have branzino or orata, but that they have another kind of fish. We said OK. The price of orata or branzino was 18 euros, so we presumed we were getting this for the same price. When the bill came, it was 75 euros just for the fish (it turned out it was the catch of the day, with unbelieveable price , the bill in total was 128 euros (all other evenings in Sardinia we paid between 50 and 80 euros with wine . When I asked how come it 's 75 euros, the waiter then said that we had something that was furtner down on the menu, which is charged per kilo. We asked for the manager, he confirmed the waiter 's story, unable to explain why he hadn 't told us in the first place that we were not going to pay 18 euros, but double, and he started to shout in front of the full restaurant, and said he was going to call the police (the police!!! . Instead of apologising, he wanted to call the police, I was totally shoked. Since that was our second night out of 14, we didn 't want to ruin the whole holiday and create a scandal in front of a full restaurant that was also full of children, so we just paid and left absolutely furious, not for having paid 128 euros, but for being shamefully tricked. We complained in the hotel, they said they don 't have anything with it, they copied the bill, but never came back with an explanation. Oh yes, since we were sent from our hotel, we were supposed to get a 15 percent discount, which we didn 't get at all. At one point the owner/manager just said Inglesi , meaning English people , and left me lost for words as I could 't believe my ears (we live in London, but we are not English . If you check some reviews in Italian, you 'll see that people also complained of being ripped-off, so I suggest you double-check every single price when you order, if you go there. Definitely the worst restaurant experience ever."
