"In het weekend, van vrijdag t/m zondag, is het razend druk in dit niet al te grote restaurant. Want dan is het tijd voor de zeer bekende Flammenkūchen. Blijkbaar zeer beroemd in de wijde omgeving. De keuze is beperkt in de 'topping' maar wel erg lekker. Je eet gezamenlijk van één kuchen, die op een houten plank - met een mes - in het midden op tafel wordt gezet. Je kunt vervolgens nog een of meerdere Flammenkūchen bestellen. Zowel de hartige, als de zoete, met appel, zijn erg lekker.Als je in de buurt bent, beslist doen. Het kan wel zijn dat je met een ander stel of gezin aan tafel komt. Dat vanwege de drukte. Maakt het ook wel gezellig."

"We visited the small inn because of the very good reviews. The daily dish (natural carving with noodles) was tastefully good, but the meat was relatively tough and fat. Very good was the vegetable soup."

"The green tree is absolutely worth a visit, the frog legs are perfect, only the duck in orange sauce could be a bit more spicy. the chefin is very friendly and accommodating so that we will definitely come back."

"Tuesday, October 20th, we're at 12:15. The room is practically empty, 5/6 people max. Five people? No, impossible and in the tone it's go see elsewhere!!!! I will not make this review if at least the person had been friendly, but it is far from being the case, we disturb her! I better understand the remarks of other travellers who denigrate this place! We wanted 5 Flam, of which it seems that they are specialists.. bravo to the pseudo restorers, they do not participate in the quality image of this beautiful region, of Alsace! We ate an excellent Flame at the 4 Châteaux Restaurants at Flekenstein Castle! A frozen probably... but it's nice to be welcomed."

"Das urige kleine Lokal mit elsässischen Spezialitäten gehört zum "Cheval Blanc"-Hotel und bietet auch Zimmer an. Die Auswahl und Speisen sind gut und die Preise moderat. Die zwei netten Kellner und der junge Koch kümmerten sich rührend um ihre Gäste, viele davon Stammkunden, die mittags oder abends gerne hier sind - besonders wenn das Zwei-Sternelokal "Auberge du Cheval Blanc" am Montag und Dienstag Ruhetag hat. Aber: Ab 11.06.2017 ist D´Rössel Stub geschlossen - ein großes Problem für das Hotel, denn wo soll man dann am Wochenanfang im "Cheval Blanc" essen, wenn das Sterne-Restaurant nicht geöffnet ist???"
