"A group of eight, including children aged 3 and 5, we called by Le Siecle on very hot Sunday hoping to shelter from the midday sun, and maybe have a bite to eat. Le Siecle is the only restaurant in Les Ollieres, apart from the campsites, and being a Sunday it was very busy. Despite the nearly full dining room, we were seated promptly, drinks took a little while but considering there was only one waitress to service diners and 2 sunny terrasses we didn't mind a bit. Ice cold water was served without being prompted, a welcome relief on such a scorching day!The menu was wonderfully simple, in the best possible way. My dorade grillée was delicious and the crème brûlée I had for dessert was fabulous. The two courses were included in the formule 19E, we enjoyed a pichet of rosé too 50cl for just 6E. It was a great meal, great value - it was just what we needed."
