"Very disappointing experience. There has obviously been a change in management. We have been here a number of times and always been impressed with the fine dining and silver service. That's why we go back. This time the food was below standard, the kingfish was over cooked, the sides unimpressive. But it was the service that was the biggest let down. The staff were inattentive at best, they often went missing for long periods. They did not know the menu, we asked three times for water, they kept making excuses, like oh yes I saw you were finished but then I forgot to come over. Very long waits to have dishes cleared, or to even order our meals or dessert. Extremely unprofessional behaviour and conversation. This was service you would expect at a cheap pub, not a fine dining establishment that The Barn used to be known for. Really don't know whether I will go back again. This was the first time they did not receive a tip from us. Very disappointed."

"Many restaurants would like 5 stars just for opening their doors. As customers, going out means it should be special. And Coriole did prove to be special for us. Booking was easy on line. When we arrived the restaurant was full. It was wintry day...but the room was warm and inviting. We were greeted immediately and shown to our table, right next to the window, with the panoramic view before us. Warmth from the well placed heater ensured we were comfortable. Our waiter was very friendly and explained everything clearly, and also checked for any food preferences, even though it was a set menu. We had the 5 course lunch tasting with the accompanying wine. Each course was a celebration of local produce, much of it from on site. It was therefore entirely seasonal. The service was very friendly, whilst discreet. No butting into your conversation. All the courses were well presented. The presented meals were imaginative, and exceptional. The meals were not oddball, and rather were very well prepared by a chef that has skill and palate, and no longer has to suffer the confines of more traditional menus. I think a considerable amount of effort goes into getting every detail right, and doing so in a full restaurant, was exceptional, and so felt it was very good value. If you are into regional, seasonal food Coriole should be on your list."

"This place has some good reviews but we found the food to be no better than our local pub which charges half the price. For tasty imaginative fare it is better to go to one of the excellent winery restaurants where the surroundings are peaceful sauces are made fresh by experienced chefs."

"Returned to the restaurant for our Wedding Anniversary for a meal. We were looked after and the food was great, very knowledgeable staff when we asked what certain items on the menu actually tasted like. The quantity of food that you get is a good size and we were (as usual) nicely full when we left. Will certainly keep returning for special occasions and when we have guests from overseas to stay. We only go mid-week as we find that it is too busy and therefore way too noisy at the weekends, would be fine for bigger parties on the busier days but you would not get the intimate experience you want as a couple. Suggestion:It would be excellent if they offered a collection and drop off service, as we are always pulling straws for who gets to sit in a winery and not drink so one of us can drive home. Would happily pay to be driven there and back by a reliable in-house service."

"We went here for a birthday celebration we had a banquet the spring rolls were huge the satay sticks were a little over done but very tasty the rest of the meal was fantastic the only down side $8.50 corkage was very high they had a good range of wine and not over the top with price"
