"Restaurant very well located and with its own parking. It has a kitchen until 4pm, so you can find good food until late. The menu is typical Swiss dishes from the area, well cooked and tasty. The treatment of tourists is somewhat dry, but correct. They sat us on the terrace next to a table reserved for smokers, so it was very annoying to eat with the tobacco smoke and smokers who were not respectful of the children at the table. We really liked the food but the cost of 15CHF for a 1.5 liter bottle of water seemed excessive, even for Switzerland. "Salad baths in the French sauce, really so much that you could hardly see the fruits and salad ingredients. Kellner did not ask what sauce we wanted, it would have been useful and nice. The rest of our food was Canapés, they were OKish."

"Three adults and our two kids wanted to enjoy a nice evening out while being on holidays in Meiringen. we intended to dine in the nice area with the cozy (artificial) fire place. the staff took us to the other part of the restaurant and when asking if we could eat in the part we originally intended to, the answer was better not with kids. Of course we thankfully declined and took our business elsewhere."

"We visited this restaurant on the last night of our 2-week holiday, and will most definitely go there again. The decor is wonderfully Swiss, as was the waitress, although she spoke good English. The food was of absolute high quality and tasted wonderful. I had the lemongrass soup with a small chicken skewer and mango chutney, which really knocked my socks off. My daughter loves Zürcher geschnetzeltes so of course ordered that, and wasn't disappointed. My husband had beef strips in a red Thai curry sauce with fluffy rice, and my friend had a chicken salad. I had Zanderfilet with mashed potatoes, braised fennel and steamed broccoli and it was perfect. We all enjoyed our meal thoroughly. Absolutely first class in all respects, well done!"

"The TEENAGER's voracious' appetite needed a Brünig Deluxe Burger pronto. Tomato Kase Flammkuchen was my pick. It's cold outside, a fresh ginger tea was the remedy! Ambiance: cozy woodsy."
