"My wife and I can recommend it to anyone who is once in a bit bit delicious, homemade food, this is what to do here.The service is quick and you will be super advised.(for example if you want to eat vegan); here the chef is still working himself and that you feel, everything is done with love and easy to put in. A lot of joy and good appetit :)"

"The restaurant is located directly on Market Square. It is a historical building very cozy inside and also outside. There is a street terrace and behind the house an yard. The food was local and thus very tasty, with a selection of light and regular...meals. Chicken breast with bacon was juicy and the pork knee crunchy as it should be. The waitresses was very nice and recommended to us a wine which nicely went with the meal. Next time, when we are in Meissen we'll vist Vinzenz Richter again."

"Had been eating with my friend and well-known in the forest-closed bite for Sunday brunch. the food was very tasty, there is something for everyone taste. This time also gave gänsekeulen in the forest. they were probably the best I ever had. to the service you can only say: polite and fast. after feeling 1 minute all our drinks were there.The atmosphere in the forest is also super, which wetin sings every Sunday sloshing, and now for Christmas time of course Christmas songs. a cool change to other restaurants where there is no such thing."

"We arrived in Meissen on Good Friday, which is a bank holiday in Germany meaning that almost all businesses and certainly all grocery stores are closed, as well as many restaurants. We were a bit afraid that we would only find a few lackluster...restaurants open. Imagine our delight in finding this jewel of a restaurant just downstairs from our very comfortable and cute rental apartment! Except for the slow service which was a function of the holiday, I'm sure with only one waitress trying to take orders, serve food, bus tables AND register new guests to the attached hotel/apartments, every single criterion for a superb meal was met. The interior furnishings of the restaurant were beautiful and cosy, the food was finely prepared and seasoned, and the presentation was picture-worthy. This was indisputably the best and most interesting meal we have enjoyed in Germany during this trip. I would highly recommend it to anyone!"

"The Pizza was really good, but we didn't stay for dessert nor will be ever go back there. The sun was out and they offer seating outside. When we walked up we noticed that only one table was set and had cushions on the hard wood chairs. There was no sign on the table that indicated that this table was reserved. Two other restaurants directly next to this place had cushions on all their chairs and table settings on all their tables. We assumed that we were expected to sit at the only table which was set and had cushions on the chairs, which is what we did. The other two restaurants had customers, this Pizzaria none. The waitress comes up to us and asks if we have a reservation. No greeting at all. I thought she wanted to tell us that we wouldn't be served unless we had reserved a table, but as it turned out she meant that the table we sat at was reserved. I explained why we came to sit there and she snapped that she doesn't set tables unless they are reserved and walks away. I suppose we were expected to know this? We stood there for a few seconds before I convinced my husband to stay anyway. We had been walking around all day looking for a restaurant we liked and I just wanted to eat and go to the hotel room. The rest of the evening she was rude, to say the least. Apparently she blacklisted us because of the table incident? She was friendly to other customers that came later. We sat there a while before she came out with four chair cushions. She threw ours on our table while walking by and handed the other two to a couple that had just seated themselves behind us. They got a couple friendly words and were handed the cushions. Unbelieveable. When my husband asked if he could have salt she actual snarled. I don't care what her reason is, but this behaviour is not acceptable and I could kick myself for not moving on. As far as the menue is concerned, it explicitly states that everything from pasta to pizza is entirely home made. The pizza came out really, really fast. Much too fast for having been entirely homemade. It takes longer to knead out the dough. The couple behind us ordered pasta which arrived at their table in less than 15 minutes. I seriously doubt he made those noodles himself, but maybe he is a magician. If you go there remember not to get on her bad side!!"
