"The first time we went with eight people on a Friday night and it wasn't so busy. The food was very good and they gave us a big table back. Nobody rushed to go. We stayed about three hours a little hard to find, not in the main part of Newark, but the food and service were both good."

"Excellent ! We loved the food and drinks! Innovative and interesting menu and the dishes are as tasty as they sound. Four of us shared a sampler starter plate, mantoo, a vegetarian plate, and beef kofta kabob with saffron rice. The portions were plentiful but not huge and had distinctive balanced flavors. We will be back!"

"What a truly hidden gem. My friend brought me here after inspecting a property there he just purchased. I was somewhat Skeptical about the place because of the area and location but after my first serving of soup arrived it changed my mind quickly. These folks take great pride in their food, presentation and cleanliness. I'm from Philly and I'd definitely make the road trip back for another meal. It's surprising how big this place is and has off street parking."

"First time there on a date. Parking is free around corner in a secure garage/lot huge convenience in this area. Easy safe walk to restaurant. Politest staff, beautiful and huge inside. Giant imported wine list and other drinks, tasty. Food however…was the best I have had in a while. Shared the NZ clams broth was A . We normally avoid bread. This time had to order extra just for the broth. Main dishes were amazing as well: grilled whole sea bass for me, salmon with scallops for wife… we were both in awe at the perfection. Finger licking, old world, rich yet simple, not overly elaborate or experimental food. We love seafood. We decided that this specific cuisine, if this is what it tastes like, tops the list of any other. Which neither expected. My tastebuds are still daydreaming about it. Must return asap."

"Superb experience and superb service from top to the end. I celebrated my wedding 30th anniversary here last week. Today i realized that i have to go back to OpenTable to write review to show how appreciated everything i experienced in this tex-mex restaurant. We had Fundido and Shrimp cocktail as appetizers, then i had steak fajitas and my wife had chicken carbon for entree. Everything was properly seasoned and the smell of steak fajitas was all over the place, taste so good. We tried 4 different margaritas, all of them are excellent, my favorite is the jalapeno infused margarita, it was served in paprika salt rimmed mason jar. But the best part of our dinner was when our wait staff surprised us with dessert written on the plates happy anniversary. I mentioned to my reservation that we are celebrating our wedding anniversary , how great that they are really paying attention to details of reservation. Then the general manager came to our table shake our hand and introduce his self name Richard, we had good conversation with him. he was very thankful that we choose Borders to celebrate our anniversary. After he left our table i notice that he is going to every guest to greet them, what a great man. We are going back for my daughter birthday celebration in January, i wish all the best luck and i wish we always get the same experience every time."
