"We have come to this restaurant regularly since its beginning more than 40 years ago and always been super satisfied. The brothers Jaume (kitchen) and Josep (restaurant) always took very good care of us but this time our lunch experience was different. We were well received by the usual friendly head waiter of many years and shown our table in the covered terrace close to the pool – our preferred table there during summer. We immediately ordered two glasses of Cava and another waiter came to deliver. However that Cava came from a pre-opened bottle. It was flat. Luckily the head waiter observed this himself when he came to take our food order, he took our glasses back and the other waiter returned with new glasses and a fresh bottle of Cava. THIS SHOULD NEVER HAVE HAPPENED ! As starters we ordered two Carpaccio de Gambas with avocado as we have enjoyed at Sa Punta before. It was still very nice but the portions were considerable smaller than we remembered from earlier visits. As main coursed we ordered one Suquet and one Lam. The Suquet was luke warm and did not contain the usual potatoes and the lam crowns were dry and covered in a lot of mustard sauce. At earlier visits these kind of main courses were transported from the kitchen to the table under cover, which were then taken off the plates in front of you. But not today. The dessert card had changed. The deserts usually available to be prepared at the table were no longer available. A pity because our favourite has always been the Crepes Suzettes prepared at the table by Josep or the head waiter. The cheese plate and the melting chocolate cake were however nice – but not what we had hoped for. During our lunch we asked the head waiter whether the rumours of Sa Punta hotel and restaurant having been sold to new owners were true – and he confirmed. Therefore the following friendly message to the new owners: Please do not change anything. Josep and Jaume have successfully created our favourite place to come in our area for many years. If you do change you will loose us !!"

"Last year I bought a panettone here. I usually eat several of the best to christmas and the same with the colombas in ostar, as I am a great lover of these two sweets. I spend some time in different regions italian and I have had the pleasure to try some panettons and visit the workshops. I know that good panettone are not cheap because I already said that I have tried many (tiri, de vivo, sal de riso, pepe etc). etc. in average 40 € per kilo (we talk about the best. the price of spinellis panettone is the first thing that surprised me. but for this price, I had hoped that it would have the level of what I normally ate. but when I opened it, the disappointment was enormous. the only explanation I find is that a defective approach came out. dry bungalow, nothing similar to a panettone teig should be without flexibility, without alveoli, without moisture or skill. open in horizontal layers to set the filling! (everyone knows that it would be impossible to open a good, juicy, soft and fluffy, tart-style layer panettone because it would fall apart. it was a heavy, compact, meaningless bungalow. the pictures say everything. as I said, I hope it was a bad charge if not, I don't understand. it cost me more than 50 €. I won't risk it again. for this price there is to ask the great master italiens, including the shipping costs."
