"I've read most of the reviews and I'm surprised at the few bad ones. We counted about 30 people there on a Wednesday lunchtime. We were amused by the decor (bras and pants, all clean, naturally!). The menu was varied and the choice excellent. Service was efficient. We had the beef stew -excellent and the ribs as well as the roast halibut. All beautifully cooked and good sized portions. It leans in a more Flemish then French direction but that suited us. We especially liked the cheese and bacon starter. A great find. Would go there again without hesitation and would recommend it to others."

"Some the staff speak excellent English if you need this. The food was good if unadventurous. I had salmon fillet which was a large portion served with mainly rice. The salmon was cooked well. My husband's steak was a bit chewy though. Dessert of profiteroles was enormous - filled with ice cream instead of cream with a rich chocolate sauce. We saw other people having pizza and they looked good. If you want proper french food or fine dining this is not the place for you but it was good for generous portions and friendly service."

"We have chosen this restaurant as it was near our vacation stops in saint omer. we had no knowledge of previous assessments. we had not booked, but with our little French and the owners broken English we were greeted with a beautiful recipe and. offered a table. we could not have been satisfied with the evening. the food was excellent. cooked for perfection. the wine selection was brilliant, dry rose I loved and the atmosphere was also pleasant. also the music that was at the right band was especially suitable for our age group. eagles, led zeppelin, queen to mention a few. However, the environment was well suited for all age groups, as there were also many young couples. it was a meal to remember when we celebrated our high-time day and we clearly met the right choice, calmness."

"My husband and I are here to support International Canoe Polo Championships. So it was our first evening in St.Omer. We feel fortunate in choosing the restaurant for dinner.The menu choices gave sufficient options, the lady serving helped us with translation, made us feel welcome. The food was lovely, our starter of smoked salmon piece on a pancake delicious. The mains had good selection of vegetables, in our experience not always the case in France! The dessert choices all tempting but I was very pleased with my creme caramel! My husband enjoyed choosing the wine and we felt we had good value for money.We would be happy to eat another evening before returning home."
