"I've found Google reviews to be highly subjective, but the high reviews for this restaurant are spot on. It's a cozy, friendly and affordable place to enjoy absolutely great food. The menu has a variety of items sure to please any appetite. It was loaded with so many things I wanted to try it was our first visit, so it was all new. Both my wife and I were so impressed and I promise, you will be too."

"My family and I have eaten here several times over the years and have NEVER had a bad meal. The menu has been consistent with variation coming in the form of "special" menus on top of the regular one every so often. Although I have never seen the need to deviate from the regular menu as there are so many wonderful choices. Even my teenage children love to come with me here. It is obvious that they make their Seafood gumbo from scratch as well as their Caesar salad dressing from scratch. The staff, including the owner Crystal, are so friendly that it really feels like a family restaurant"

"Dropped in for a bite to eat and a beer. Ordered pizza from here multiple times and it's always under cooked. I've had to scrape the raw dough off my pizza at the table. This time i figure I'll order something I've actually enjoyed from the kitchen before.... Only the inconsistency in the menu was shocking. The drastic changes to the item I ordered was night and day. When I expressed my distaste to my server MYRA informed me that there was nothing that they would do in regards to the inconsistency of the menu. After further consideration I informed MYRA then that in did not want the item as it did not meet the standards that the restaurant presented to me on a previous occasions. Upon hearing my displeasure with the meal MYRA then requested quite sternly that I now pay her for the alcohol I had consumed and made it very apparent that in was no longer welcome in the establishment."

"Looking for a good Steak night out with friends. Our first stop was the Keg with a 2 hour wait for a table of 6 at 5:30pm. We left there (leaving our name on the wait list) and decided to try Blue Rare. As we drove up and parked in the back alley along the river. We couldn't be sure if the restaurant was open as there was no one on the inside and very few vehicles parked in the parking lot. At 6:15 pm on A SATURDAY night, we quickly regretted our decision and almost drove back to the keg. However, We walked out and asked a trio of adults who happened to be heading in that direction if they had been here to eat before and asked if they would recommend going in? Low and behold it was THE OWNER of the restaurant. As they sluffed us off, laughed at us and said "yes you should, he is THE OWNER." And arrogantly continued to walk into the restaurant, we should have followed our second gut feeling to turn around and go back tot he keg. But wanting to support local, we went in. Well..... The food was OK. Nothing spectacular for the price they charge. Big portions. But NOT melt in your mouth delicious. Our waitress was good. But felt like we were sitting in a banquet room, there was no comfy, cozy ambiance A very "Cold" feel to the decor. We left at 8:40pm and were the last ones in the restaurant. 3 other table had been in and gone. I understand why the restaurant is empty after our "unfriendly" encounter with the Owner. Maybe THE OWNER should have made an attempt be a little more personable and come over to ask us how our experience was and been humbled that we spent $500 that night in his restaurant.( as he could clearly see us from across the room) I will NEVER go back again or recommend it to anyone based on this experience! We would have preferred to have a few drinks in the keg lounge and waited the 2hrs (which only ended up being a 1.5hr wait in the end (thanks to my updates on my phone from the open table APP)!!"
