"We had a family dinner in this restaurant in a small german town called Stadtallendorf, located about 2 hours north of Frankfurt am Main. The restaurant doesn't look too spectacular from the outside, you actually have to walk through an entrance in a hedge and walk down a rather ugly stairway to get to the basement of a Hotel. When you enter the restaurant though, the ambience is really pretty. The whole restaurant is equipped with old dark furniture, there are not only chairs but also sofas to make the place cosy. The staff is young and very friendly, especially the tall dark haired guy who is not only the waiter but also the cocktail mixer tries to fulfill any wish you might have.The food is modern presented with balsamico splatters on the edge of the plates, rather small to medium portions to leave space for more.I would call the restaurant iself rather a high standard restaurant (not just because of the prices which are rather high), but also because of the whole presentation of the food etc.Children are obviously welcome and accepted as there was a family with a little boy and the staffdidn't say a word when the child was rather loud and creeping around on the floor.All in all I think it's a nice restaurant for all occasions. Try and ask for a table with sofa,it's really comfy and nice!"
