"Stopped here, passing through Strathmore on the Trans-Canada Highway, for lunch. The atmosphere is very plain and boring. The buffet looked very inspiring so we ordered Wor Wonton soup. It was just okay and nothing more. I doubt I will return."

"We drove by the front of this place on our way to our hotel and didn't think much of it, but it was very close to our hotel and we were hungry, When we walked in, we were shocked by how gorgeous the inside was! Just beautiful! And everyone was eating wings and loving them. I had the salmon and it was awesome. My husband had the soup and he also loved it. then we found out that the place was moments from closing. We asked the waitress, are you guys really closing in a few minutes? She assured us it was fine. And she meant it. Everyone was really sweet. The place was so clean and the food was so great. Just try it. You wont regret it."

"After driving into town to find I missed the start time on my yoga class, I decided to treat myself to some brekkie. I had plenty of time (it was supposed to be a 2 hourclass after all)! so I went to Kim's Cafe. I have been there before, the food is always good, but the service, at least in the past, has been hit and miss and if there is more than 1-2 people it often takes a very long time to get your food. This time I got the happy waitress and my food, while still prepared to order, came in a timely manner. I had my favourite, the Fruit Infusion French Toast, made with gluten-free bread that is actually worth eating. There were fresh blackberries, strawberries and blueberries with real whipped cream and powdered sugar-just enough but not too much. It came with 2 fresh plums (1 purple, 1 golden) and an orange slice. I had ordered a side of hash browns too. They were made with fresh, tiny potatoes, cooked then crisped just right. No frozen anything on this meal! The bill comes with a homemade cookie, which they swapped out for a gluten-free one when I verified it would be ok for me to eat. I recommend eating here, but leave yourself extra time just in case it's a slow service day. Oh, and if you are looking for unique homestyle food-check out the daily specials, the other day it was hamburger macaroni soup!"
