"After the walk through the distant cities at the camino de santiago, I was looking forward to a solid hot meal before the crossing to tui. fronteira gastropub was right in the way and convenient from the camino. I ordered the bife de vazia laminada 9.50) and. the Camembert cheese with walnuts and honey 5.90) oh my gott, this cheese has hit the place! it was melted, almost suppe like, and came with crackers to suck in the whole fee. I wish it came with broth, but it was still delicious. I sent a photo to my friend who was about an hour behind the camino and he wanted to try it. the bifee was seldom boiled with a medium/medium and glazed in olive oil and balsamico vinegar. it's mixed well and I've sworn it too. this place is overcrowded, so reservations are highly recommended. I had luck and sat right inside. Come here, you'll love it! service was ok and they stamp camino credentials."

"On a quiet Monday night we visited this restaurant in the walled old town. The service was exceptional and we chose some nice red wine to accompany our large meals. We were given a complimentary starter of olives and delicious sausage. We had the tasty roast chicken dish and the farmers meat plate. Way too big but we put a good dent on these dishes. Had new glasses for the second half bottle of wine and our waiter was spot on."

"We went to this restaurant after being offered a leaflet but after our meal, we were given a hand-written bill with extra charges. When we questioned what the extra charges were, the waiter said it was for food we had ordered, which wasn’t the case. He reluctantly took the charges off the bill. It’s so disappointing to find our willingness to try the restaurant rewarded with this behaviour."
