"We had reservations for Sunday dinner around 6pm. To our surprise, we were the only customers there, which was quite sad. Someone's grandmother or mother probably slaved away in a hot kitchen that same day, when they could have been treated to dinner that tasted just as amazingly good at HerSoul instead (sans hot kitchen). We had a bevy of items off the menu, from drinks to appetizers to entrees to dessert. Everything was properly cooked, well seasoned, and reasonably priced. We tried the empanadas (beef chicken...beef was the favorite). Everything was fresh, even the salad was bright and crisp. It tasted like everything came straight from someone's garden. Some of the entrees were ribs, fried chicken, skirt steak, fried cod, wings, salmon, and shrimp Alfredo. Every person was pleased with their meal. Our service was excellent, as two members of the family waited on us. We always had everything we needed and the service was timely. My family really enjoyed the musical selection during the time we were there! They were playing a Motown medley that transitioned into some of Prince's early work. It was a lovely trip down various points on memory lane for my mom, aunts, and uncle. We almost turned it into a karaoke bar! The wonderful evening was rounded out by the delicious dessert. We opted for banana pudding cake and carrot cake. The banana pudding cake is the way to go! As a baker myself, and an expert in banana pudding desserts, I give them my stamp of approval. Don't skip the banana pudding cake! My family has another Yale graduation to attend next year as well, and Her Soul will definitely be on the itinerary next year too! While I hope this business becomes a popular go to spot so it can stay in business, I hope we don't have any trouble getting in next year!"

"Hands down.....the best sushi you will ever have. Period. You will go other places and they will never live up to Jerry's. You will keep coming back and appreciate Daiko even more. Also, Jerry San is one of the nicest persons you will ever meet. A genuine sushi master. A down to earth joyful person. Try the crunchy spice tuna roll. Try the Jimmy roll. Keep trying and trying....you will not be disappointed. Have a hand roll with Jerry at the bar. Enjoy!"

"Hands down, one of the most creative chefs in the area! Havent had a bad plate in all the times I ha e been here. Plenty of rich dishes, anything here with pork is worth your while, but also plenty of lighter options full of flavor. Service is excellent. Server even hand-made my 3 year old lemonade from scratch even though it wasnt on the menu! Go here and give it a try. Portions are pretty large, and at nornal for the area entree prices, the food is also a great value! (Attached photo is of the Notorious PIG)."

"I have been here when it was called Savin Rock Roasting. Food and service were good. Things changed. I went today, March 19, 2022 at 2:15 pm with my husband. The restaurant is now called Beef Brew Pub. We entered the dining room. There was no wait staff there, just the female bartender at the bar in the adjoining room. The bartender clearly saw us, made eye contact and chose to ignore us. She chose to chat with the 4 customers who were drinking. After 10 minutes we left and decided to go and spend our money where it is welcomed. There is no need to support a business that mistreats customers,"
