"Rainy night but i wanted an ice cream sundae. I have always wondered what Menchie's had to offer. The young ladies greeted me with a smile and showed me the ropes. I felt like a kid in a candy shop. I made my sundae treat with various ice cream flavors like new york cheese cake, oreo cookie, chocolate, and strawberry just to name a few. Then I selected my topping. There were so many to choose from including the traditional walnuts, strawberry and pineapple and younger folks like oreo bits, reeses pieces. My eyes were bigger than my stomach. So i took the remainder home and placedin the freezer for another day. Thanks ladies, I'll be back."

"The lavender tea is excellent, it was my first time trying it and I highly recommend stopping in and trying some! I can't wait to go back and have hot tea and sandwiches in the beautiful tea pots and cups. The lady that runs the place is so lovely, the kind of person that puts a smile on your face. She is the definition of southern hospitality, she was just so friendly and kind, I wish more people were like this."

"Consistently good Pizza. Our kids love the crane games at the front, so we promise to go grab pizza and let them play often. Great place. Ask them for a certain pizza to be added to the buffet and they will make it happen within minutes. Great place! Good pricing."

"Best. Crab. Cake. Ever. My husband and I are native New Yorker?s and while on the last leg of our vacation road trip, I reached out to my brother in law who is a native to Maryland and always brought me and my family these amazing crab cakes, but I could not remember where they were from, he told us the location and we made it the final pit stop of our trip! Well, let me tell you, this was the perfect final dinner for our little summer vacation and road trip ! The best note to end on! My husband was in absolute heaven trying their crab cakes! He is a foodie and grew up with an Executive Greek Chef for a Father, and has extremely high standards for food in general and especially for seafood. In his exact words after the second bite.. ?omg, I would pay $100 for this crab cake!? Thank you to the Kanaras family for keeping it real, authentic, fresh, and the quality the same as I remember it from years ago! The owner son came out and spoke with us and was absolutely so gracious and genuine, a really authentic and wonderful person, thank you! Our server Janice was absolutely wonderful, very kind and attentive, thank you! Next time we are in Maryland or driving through, we will be back for another crab cake! P.S. We even purchased two frozen crab cakes for My husband?s parents to try we know they will be so impressed!"

"I don't know what happened at the Peppermill, maybe it was the COVID mess. We have been to this restaurant several times over the years until 2019. It was our favorite restaurant in Abingdon, delicious food although a little expensive. So, after 3 years we were back in town and went to dinner this evening, while the wait staff were very pleasant, I was extremely disappointed in the taste and quality of the food. I ordered the Pork medallions thinking they were probably cut from the tenderloin. They were in fact two large, overcooked loin chops with very little flavor. My wife had a burger that was questionable. Sadly, this was probably the last time we will go there."
