"This is not, as it claims, a restaurant gastronomique but a typical hotel restaurant. The food was mainly satisfactorily prepared, with exceptions. The beef carpaccio starter, for example included a well dressed, fresh salad but the beef was flavourless, watery and totally regularly shaped, leading to suspicion of a catering pack. Preferred degree of cuissance of a veal main course was not mentioned and it was served very rare. The desserts were poor (slightest hint only of lemon in a lemon flavoured dessert) and again gave a suspicion of pre-fabrication.No drinks or wine list was offered and the maitre d'O was asked to make a suggestion- no choice was given he just brought a bottle to the table. Very strange!Basically, for a restaurant "gastronomique" head into Perigueux where there are quite a few."
