The menu features regional and seasonal food, with the possibility to adapt it to dietary needs. Savoury, homemade and nicely presented what does a gourmand need else? Good service, friendly personnel and some outdoor seating here we found it. A place to come back to."

"I recently dined at this restaurant with my wife during a May long weekend. Our first impression was of the sunny and friendly disposition of the servers which we found out were a husband and wife team. We both ordered a superb “Tête de Veau” (Calf’s head) which is a traditional local dish in Corrèze….apparently Jacques Chirac loved the stuff! The complete meal with accompanying wine was excellent value for money. Squeaky clean and modern washrooms and a little pug named Lino who guarded the fort! Will definitely return on a future trip to Argentat."

"The food here is among the best we have eaten in France. I have no hesitation in recommending the restaurant, the kitchen staff and waitress were friendly and helpful. Unfortunately the same can't be said of the accommodation. The 90euro room is above the restaurant and therefore noisy until closing, also motor noise from refrigeration all night It is large and well furnished and clean but the breakfast a bit mean. One coffee and bread and one madeliene cake for 90euro? We patronised the restaurant and bar for 2 days and also had to pay for extra coffee we asked for at breakfast! That was lousy."

"We had the special menu here which was suspicious cheap and I know why. It was pretty tasteless. On the positive side the pizzas seemed to hit the mark so the kids seemed to enjoy it good location for the night markets"
