"Just a few kilometres from my employer, the “Weinbrück” restaurant was located in Obermoschel. A restaurant in the beautiful old building, the restaurant in the former wine cellar. Since my last, more than undercooled, I haven't been with my girlfriend anymore. Cold pumice (for heating), ice-cold plates and thus cold dishes. Too bad. I cannot say whether the cool rooms have led to the change of the “young wild” (as the former owner Mr. Beisiegel called the young operators). At first I learned from colleagues about the closure of the “Weinbrück” and the restart of the team in Ebernburg with their own vegetable garden. Of course I wanted to know if the plates are warmer at the height of the Ebernburg! So I reserved our table very briefly. Precaution for indoor use. Rain and thunderstorms were reported. The phone contact was cheerful friendly. So you felt very welcome before the visit. In beautiful weather we arrived in Ebernburg. Ebernburg in sight Free parking is available directly under the castle. We were warmly welcomed on site. I was very pleased that the restaurant manager Simon Weller conquered with the boss Jean Luc Blumers Ebernburg. The weather is much better than expected. The well maintained interior empty. The friendly reception immediately followed the menu, supplemented by 2 day recommendations on the slate table. The unloaded menu was too good for us. And the decision is therefore difficult. Our drinks were served in advance. 1 bottle of mineral water, 0.75 l € 4.70. Another bottle followed. And for me a “Monkey 47 Black Forest Gin Tonic € 7,50, unfortunately without ice. I quickly filled this with the friendly lady at the counter, because without ice Gin Tonic does not go for me. We both chose the same appetizers and we didn't have to wait long for them. The disadvantage: It could not be eaten really well by the “Müsli dishes”, a rather “senkrechter poodle”. This has not broken the 4 perfectly roasted shells tastefully. Outside nicely browned and glazed in juicy and still slightly glazed. The slightly nutty sweet-shell taste. Those who prefer rice as a risotto were not disappointed here. We both like it. Risotto needs (like bread) time. The rice lacked the light bite and also the typical "blood". Sometimes you just have to “extract” expectations. As a good and juicy vegetable rice with cucumber pieces for fruity acidic aromas we still liked it. Red beet roots, bread crispy, with fresh sprouts and blood beet delivered a colorful and tasty appetizer. House-baked bread was served. I am a passionate bread baker. Tastefully, the easy waiting bread was good and very commendable the kitchen was not put on a comfort product. Nevertheless, the crust was too weak and the crumb was too cheerful. A longer dough guide would certainly help. Our main foods: For me the daily recommendation Rosa Wildschwein Schokosauce (Wildmanufaktur Erking) celery Kumquat Macaire € 23,90 The wild boar chef Jean Luc Blumers remains true to his line. Already in the “Weinbrück” in Odernheim he liked to combine the dishes with fruit. The service could be seen, the plates preheated! The wild boar is very pink fried (just right for me), tender and juicy. Pink wild boar Schokosauce celery cumming Macaire The reduced sauce was very successful and was certainly included more red wine than chocolate in the sauce. The chocolate uses just right: discreet, distinctive and non-precision. Celery in the form of fine celery pure and barcelery. Kumquat is used as a counter pole from its own cultivation. The fried potato chicks rounded off this course very harmoniously. For my husband: Pecannuss Bärlauch Rhabarber celery € 24,70. Pecannuss Bärlauch Rhabarber celery Beautifully dressed, the navy was flushed with my husband in the Pecannuss coat. We both had not expected the nuts so much, was different and very good. The enclosed navy fried golden brown and juicy. Above slightly fried Rhabarb stiffeners, probably for the light acid instead of lemon. Celery Cream, fried several-year-old cellar the companions. Fresh herbs and beard foam rounded off the creative dish. Only my lover dared to think of a dessert. It was clear. For among the desserts was Crème brûlée of white chocolate, rosemary, berry soup with fruit and walnut from own garden, Schokosahne € 7,80. Chocolate, rosemary, berry soup Everything was there for my sweet mouth and there was not the quietest point of criticism. Otherwise, nothing of the fine delicacies remained self-explaining. Among the desserts I did not find a basil sorbet. On the map I hadn't escaped with one of the appetizers. Of course, Restaurant Manager Simon Weller assured me a little of my favorite baskets. For € 1.50, the basil Sorbet was refined with raspberry. So my perfect dessert found me! Basil Sorbet with raspberry After the friendly adoption we saw the back terrace. Here is the beautiful view of the rocks and in the Nahetal. Apparently more airy. The better place is here with heat. The complete restaurant and terrace are accessible to disabled people. Toilets can be reached via stairs in the basement. Very clean and well maintained. But the delayer could now make a renovation with these dedicated young tenants. Conclusion: A courageous, creative and surprising cuisine. It is pleasantly distinguished from the other regional offer. With friends we will hopefully be able to make our next visit soon. What I really didn't like, so dress up, the dishes! As good as I like the pre-war terrazzo floor in my parents' house: I don't want to eat it. And the “Geschirr” reminded me very much. Shade about the fine dishes, they were simply not worthy on this “crackish dishes”. Maybe it's still from the forerunner. Dear guests: Please reserve, enjoy, pay and then hopefully soon money for new porcelain J."

"Restaurant “Aubergine” Ristorante Il Cinema – Aubergine is located in the Bad Kreuznacher pedestrian area, right on the cinema. I used to notice it more often by special offers, which were on boards in front of the restaurant or hung. Only this time no... the first and only visit dates back to two years. Since we were pleasantly surprised at the time, the decision to go back to today was quick. Ideal to eat something before our cinema. At 17:30 the restaurant opens, shortly after that we entered. For this we had to climb the four steps to get through the door into the cosy guest room where you feel comfortable. Bright walls, dark wooden ceiling. Brown flow. The walls here and there with purple sections. Lila appears again and again, probably due to the name Aubergine. The tables are made of dark wood and stable, as are the chairs equipped with red upholstery. You sit comfortably. On the table a bright fabric runner, on which there are already knives and fork, there is a fabric nap in between. To this end, a tulip in porcelain and a long candle are joined. It looks a little noble. Water glasses are also ready, but less chic, with San Pellegrino imprint... Since we felt comfortable and the interior is harmonious and welcoming I give 5* for the ambience. Well possible, that it looks a bit different when it comes to full loading and well 60 people. So we're coming into the human space. The only living thing is a green plant in the middle of the restaurant, it does not welcome us. And, yes, the waiter. He's hiding behind the counter and grinning. The same as two years ago. I call him Ernesto. A tall, slim man, mid 60, dark pants, bright shirt and tie. He'll also be the only person that night we get to face here...We can pick up the place on request. We choose a window, with a long, padded bench along the wall. We didn't see a dressing room, we didn't want to take off the jackets, so we hang them over the chairs. Shortly afterwards our waiter comes with the cards and lights the candle elegantly. He'll let us look alone. The map is surprisingly clear. Four appetizers, three soups, five salads. Then in each case one side with pasta (11 , pizza (18 and meat (7 dishes). I like that. Open wines are about 12. I can't say if there's an extra wine card. After we decided, it did not take long and Ernesto came to pick up the order. He recorded and shortly afterwards he brought us two Barbera and one Pinot Grigio (e 4,40€ each . The red was very good, fruity and not too heavy, the white well cooled but nix, which screams after repetition. There was a bottle of San Pellegrino (5€), which was opened at the table and poured into us. After ten minutes our two appetizers came. Ernesto brought a pepper mill with salt shaker and two vials with oil and balsamico to spray... Bruschetta (3,90€ One of the really better. It was only ordinary baguette, a bit long, but the tomatoes were very tasty with good olive oil and some salt and pepper. On Top Rucola and Parmesanspäne. It looked very good visually and tasted wonderfully. 4* Carpaccio (12,90€ Unfortunately somewhat too cold. But it looked tempting. Probably not a pre-portioned product from the large market, for this the very aromatic, finely marbled meat was too large and unevenly knocked. Also here seasoned with olive oil and some pepper. Rucola brought color into play, and there were also parmesan lanterns. I missed the lime. A little salt had to, due to the low temperature, only 3.5* While we were eating, Ernesto was not able to see a second. It also took another five minutes until he reappeared and asked nicely if he could clean up and if it was right. The main courses then came very quickly, and our waiter disappeared again. Tortelloni Spinach Ricotta with Gorgonzola sauce (8,90€ A neat portion of tortelloni, I tap fresh, but not made myself, with good filling that went down in the dominant sauce from Gorgonzola as well. The overall package, however, is harmonious and pleasant. To decorate a few leaves of rocket and paprika cubes that no one actually needs. Good 3.5* Band noodles Dolci (9,90€ Here, too, a good portion. Tagliatelle, really al dente, to which a very good cream sauce was tasted. Fresh champignons, some broccoli and chicken breast pieces were joined together. And a few shrimps, the little ones from the big pack. But to put a taste of nix. 4* Spaghetti Arrabiata (8,90€ Rarely eaten such good, simple noodles (except perhaps at home *g* . A huge mountain spaghetti, well cooked, and then maybe half a can of tomatoes that so tomatoy, fruity tasted, hmmm.... So delicious. Add spicy bacon, finely dice, which also gave its aroma to the sauce. Fresh garlic and slices of red Peperoni rounded off the dish. A proper sharpness as it is. With a grin I put the plate empty. I really liked it. What the simple things can be so good. 4.5*!!! After dinner everyone went to the quiet place again, then we asked for the bill. We were kindly adopted. There was no time for a dessert. In the cinema there were some peanuts in the chocolate coat. It was delicious. Conclusion: More than a secret tip! Ordinary food at decent prices and good portions. And that in the Kreuznach city centre. For food, I can give a good conscience 4*. Ernesto does his job professional, is friendly but also not anymore. Most of the time we didn't see him. But we didn't miss him either. Service 3* The restaurant is well maintained, the toilets clean. Just the water there cold. And that only comes when you press the foot on a button in the floor. I see PLV clearly 5* Unfortunately, the restaurant after our movie was still empty or empty again. Too bad. Because there you can eat really sucked! We'll be back. At the latest at our next Kreuznacher cinema visit ."

"Wir waren mit Freunden am Sonntag um 9 Uhr zum Frühstücksbuffet, Öffnungszeit des Cafes auch 9 Uhr. Das Buffet war noch nicht angerichtet bis aus einige Platten Wurst. Erst im Laufe der nächsten 45 Minuten wurde der Rest nach und nach hingestellt. Was aber überhaupt nicht geht, dass man ein Kännchen Kaffee erhält, will man mehr, muss man dies noch zu dem nicht gerade geringen Preis dazu zahlen. Das ist einfach nicht mehr zeitgemäß. Wir werden das Cafe Wahl zukünftig meiden."

I haven't been so often in Bad Kreuznach lately, but if I'm here, I just have to visit the café. It tastes really heavenly good there. And the owner really gets the best effort, just like the one brown-haired waitress (your daughter?)."
