"We've enjoyed 99 restaurants many times, but this time was a bit different because, although we understand that prices are going up everywhere and portions sometimes get a bit smaller, the fish and chips was literally half the size, both the fish and fries, so I gave my husband half of my very delicious and still same size burger and fries. We also noticed that some tables were brought popcorn, but not ours. I suppose it's by request now-or maybe you pay? We also felt a bit rushed even though no one was waiting to be seated, but our waitress was very friendly and we'll still go again, we'll just ask about portion sizes and popcorn!"

"I visited here on 21 September 2018, meeting a friend of mine as the location was roughly between her in Flanders and I in Matawan. The tavern comes up a little quickly as the driveway is slightly obscured by the surrounding hill, but this place is worth keeping an eye out. We settled in to get drinks and spent awhile catching up, with the waitress giving us plenty of time and not rushing us. I ordered the bacon cheddar burger, which was done perfectly with a lightly toasted bun and the meat and cheese tasting perfectly. My friend and I spent about another hour just catching up after eating and, again, we were given all the time we needed without any rush. The interior is designed to replicate a pub, with exposed ceiling beams, all wood floors, and a large bar. Sitting inside surrounded by the tall trees on the hill, it's easy to imagine oneself in an Irish pub. A local gem."

"We love going to this place!The 4 star review is due to an incredibly rude exchange that I witnessed between a supervisor and his employee. She was doing her best, to keep up with the rush of people on a beautiful spring evening and doing quite well. He was speaking down to her and distracting her while she was trying to work. She was acknowledging what he was saying and he stopped her and said ‘don’t wave me off’ or something to that effect. I was hoping that I would have her serve me, because I intended to give her a generous tip for putting up with that garbage.Anyway, if you see this, you did a great job, and I suggest you walk out on that horrible boss.Otherwise, the ice cream is amazing"

"We dined outside under a tent. Sides were able to close to block our table from the elements. Food delicious and service great. Very accommodating"

"Been coming here for years. Had family over and we placed an order for the 4 of us for pickup. Got there, saw a load of bags. A worker was there, didn't offer to help I saw a bag w our number and a 1 circled (1 bag in the order? . No other bags nearby w our number. I take the one dive 25 min to home. Find out there's only 3 dished in bag. We call they don't have a 2nd bag w our number. They say I took it. How do they know there's a 2nd bag? My bag says 1. Not 1 of 2. But they say there were 2 bags, and I eould have taken both. Not that they screwed up and didn't give us 4 dishes. Disputing w credit card, finding other food for the 4th person and never going here anymore."
