"Located in La Pironniere and set back about 200m from Le Puits d'Enfer this restaurant and bar is well worth a visit for an evening meal. The food is really tasty and the service excellent; the hosts are so welcoming As a family of four...with two children we ate two courses each including a botle of wine, beautiful steak and coffees all for 60 Euros. If you are in or around Les ables d'Olonne it is well worth a 4 or 5km trip down the coast."

"Table was booked for 8.30. Our entree after an amuse bouche of mussels arrived at 9.30. My wife and I both chose the lamb. The meat itself was good if a little overcooked for our taste. The issue was that everything was thymed...out! Thyme in the lamb, thyme in the lamb herb crust, thyme in the potatoes. Thyme everywhere! We think the chef favours this particular herb as it overpowered the whole dish, instead of complementing it. Can't remember much else other than a hefty bill at the end. Far too pricey for the fare served. Average at best."

"We reserved a table for the last night of our holiday. When we arrived (with a 3 years old and a 4 months old baby) the owner told me that I actually did not reserve a table because she had a private function on this...seven. Even when I showed him the number on my phone, he argued that I called, but it was definitely said that a table was not available. That was clearly a lie because I reserved a table for 8:00. There was no reference to an apology and the man was rude. As always in the place looked very dated and we ended 1 km on the street in the restaurant Les Chardons, where we had an excellent meal!"
