"Good food, great beer and cocktail selection. Starter: I appreciate the reviews for scotch eggs... so good. The first time we've found a sour beer in hawaii. Would not hate to be the new Belgium guy who supplies this restaurant."

"The food is phenomenal. This was our first meal after arriving and it certainly did not disappoint. Those smoked wings are the best wings we've ever had, even eaten without sauce. We're from NC, we know good BBQ and smoked meats, and those wings definitely set the bar high. The ono fish and chips were exactly what we've been looking for on the islands. They were fresh and the batter was tasty. The flourless chocolate cake and PB ice cream just ends the meal with the perfect finish. The whiskey mai tai is a twist on the traditional, but it was also a great drink. Highly recommend Avalon if you're on the island. Just be sure to make a reservation just in case."
