"It is wonderful to have this restaurant open again which I have to say is equal or surpasses its predecessors. I have great admiration for the new owners (Roy and his daughter Sally) who bought this some time ago but refused to open until they had all the right team in place (it shows!). John the Chef produces an excellent menu with some really interesting specials whilst Joaquim (of O'Litoral fame!) runs front of house. This has now become one of our firm favourites and the prices are definitely amongst the most reasonable for similar establishments in the area. A must for visitors or residents!"

"Our week in the Algarve got off to a perfect start with a wonderful lunch at this delightful restaurant hidden away in the village up the hill from the bay. Excellent codfish cataplana, and the starters and desserts were very good, too. The house white wine was the perfect accompaniment to the meal. Attentive owner, who had plenty of people to cater for, but managed very well."

"This is a wonderful place, the breakfast buffet is excellent, lunch very good (I personally recommend the mushroom risotto) and the dinners are fabulous. the staff is very helpful and eating is top-class. this is not a fast food facility, so they go with ready for a wonderful experience with a good ambiente. there is a separate high-time room close by, which does not interfere in any way with the pleasure of a meal here."

"We arrived at about noon, the waitress welcomed us and at our request she prepared a table on the seasite terrace. We ordered soup of the day, a local fish soup 3/5, as starter we choose Octopus 4/5 and my wife went for the maincourse for the grilled rock fish 4/5, I ordered grilled baracuda 5/5. Dessert: Local beancake 4/5, drinks: green tea 3/5 and espresso 5/5. Note: the rockfish itself was very fine but the kitchen didn't spread out the salt equally over the fish, so some parts were far to salty, other parts were fine. We believe this reataurant is a very good place for fresh fish lovers. The fishermans port is just in front!"
