"2 vegan options 1 vegan desert.... But it's worth it. We had the vegan pizza and a pita, both were full of taste and so good. The chefs here are super talented. We didn't have room for dessert, but if the main courts were any indication of how the dessert would have been, I can guarantee that it would have been great!"

"What a treat! Our family of five had a wonderful dinner experience at The View. The reception was over the top with hot refreshing towel service and personalized menus. We were seated at a window table for a beautiful view (it looks like the majority of tables have wonderful views).Our server, Riley, was courteous and genuine, seeking to make sure everyone had an enjoyable experience. I very much appreciated her attention to detail in remembering which of our party had allergies or dietary needs.The food itself was fantastic. I had all three courses: Gouda custard, risotto fritters, and chicken. The chicken, with za'ataar spices, was one of the absolute best I've ever had and I heartily recommend it.Excellent experience over all!Do make a reservation early.Parking was easy in the back (drive up the driveway on the left of the hotel).Dietary restrictions: Dietary restrictions and allergies were discussed when the reservation was made, and our server was well informed when we arrived."

"Beautiful restaurant in the lake placid main street scene. it has a nice atmosphere and the eating was decent, but they work definitiw some of the new restaurant sinks. they were from several menu items on a already small menu. my man required medium rare steak came well done. our eckish, who was cozy and private, was a strange shape and it was hard to reach the table from all sides (most of the seats were normal tables, so this was a problem unique for our table). but the mood is good, the staff was friendly, the decor is new and stylish, and while eating was not exceptional, it was a delicious option to dinner."

"My girls and I went to Cake Placid on our annual trip to Lake Placid. Looking at their website, we were very excited to try their donuts. When we got there, yes it was around 3pm and they are open until 6pm, the pickings were scant. The gent working the counter was nothing less than amazing and that is why I gave 4 stars. He explained to us they no longer sell donuts due to regulations with a cooking hood. We totally understood however, the website should have been updated. Moving forward, we purchased 3 cookies, a half dozen cupcakes and a large coffee. The cookies were tasty, a bit heavy on the baking soda, and the cupcakes were tasty concoctions. My kids really enjoyed the cannoli cupcake. Lastly, the coffee....I would give it zero stars if I could. For being a bakery/cafe, I would expect even a mediocre cup of coffee but not here! I took 3 sips and threw the rest away. Very bland and weak. Stick with the cupcakes if your in the market for sweets and get there early!"

"Restaurant refused to rest tables so our group could sit together Menu choices are limited and expensive and come with no sides We waited 1 hr and 30 Mins for food and the larger group that we were with waited 2 hours for steaks that were undercooked and lobster dishes that were lacking in l lobster They fill dishes with carbs and not protein …definitely not worth $58:plate Left hungry and went to McDonalds Highly do not recommend"
