"Just like one other reviewer said earlier, if you like German food that tastes like Chinese, you'll probably be OK. I had the buffet, which was filled with greasy, deep fried items that didn't taste all that good. I didn't touch the sushi, and only...had a little bit of the chow mein, some of the deep fried beef stuff (really not that good at all) and a dumpling that was so bad that I took a bite and set it aside. The only great thing was the dessert of fried bananas. The cake was a German Bienenstich, which was dry and maybe frozen prior. Overall, tasteless and super unhealthy food. The service was also not the greatest. The waitress was rude and dismissive. I've had great Chinese food in Germany before, but this wasn't part of that."

"Der Mannheimer Stadtteil Lindenhof besitzt noch ein super Stadtteilleben mit kleinen Geschäften und Restaurants, die jedoch oft unscheinbar sind. Das Restaurant Roma ist auch so eine "Perle", die entdeckt werden möchte. In diesen Räumen war sicherlich früher mal ein Ladengeschäft, auf jeden Fall wurden diese Räumlichkeiten nicht als Gastronomie geplant. Man kommt rein und hat erst mal den Eindruck, in einer Betriebskantine zu sein. Erst auf den zweiten Blick merkt man, mit welchen Details man diese ungünstigen Räume in ein sehr angenehmes Ambiente verwandelt hat.Mittwoch 18:30 Uhr war es schon gut gefüllt, gut dass wir zur Sicherheit reserviert hatten, wie auch fast alle Gäste, die nach uns kamen.Die Speisekarte ist nicht überdimensioniert und dennoch reichhaltig. Klasse steht hier eindeutig vor Masse. Highlight ist sicherlich die Fischauswahl. Diese bekommt man bereits roh und frisch präsentiert, so dass man sich seinen Fisch aussuchen kann. Auch die abschließende Zubereitung erfolgt am Tisch. Trotz dieser Versuchung habe ich erst mal zur klassischen Pizza gegriffen, meine Begleitung wählte ein Rumpsteak. Alles, was wir auf dem Tisch hatten, war extrem schmackhaft und lecker. Die Portionen sind dabei jedoch nicht überladen, auch hier gilt mehr die Qualität.Pizzen und Paste bewegen sich in einen noch normalen Preisneveau, für Fisch und Fleisch muss man schon etwas tiefer in die Tasche greifen, was sich jedoch durchaus lohnt.Man darf sich nicht von der Architektur abschrecken lassen, diese ist nun mal so wie sie ist. Einfach rein gehen und entspannen, dann merkt man, wie gut und angenehm es hier ist. Eine Reservierung sollte man sicherheitshalber machen. Ich kann nur sagen, ich war begeistert und mit Sicherheit nicht das letzte Mal hier. Ein Besuch lohnt sich sicherlich, viel zu verlieren hat man ja nicht."
