"I believe this was the former Swiss Deli restaurant further down Aguirre near El Grande. I had dined there once before and was happy with the food and prices. They have since transferred to this new location, also along Aguirre St which has more space and in a less crowded area.

Their sausage platter selection is always a must-order. Considering that these sausages are just locally produced (as I heard), they will give pricey, imported sausages a run for their money. I usually pair these off with their yummy aglio olio pasta for a great combination. Then some wine or German beer for a great evening."

"Staff are always rude. We usually visit and stay late night to study since it’s the only 24 hour place around the area. We make sure to greet the staff every time we come and leave, and we don’t ever get a response. As if we’re bothering them by staying till past midnight when it is in fact a 24 hour place."

"It was a normal day for me in BF. I've never really noticed The Pie Kitchen because it's in a very cozy corner next to Pitong Daan Village. I thought I could try this out. As a well-traveled person, I have tried tons of authentic cakes. Especially Australian and New Zealand cakes. So I knew what I wanted.

I parked my car and was greeted by the wonderful staff at the store. The ambience of the place was very bright and relaxing. The service was exceptional. Now I just thought about how the cakes tasted. I didn't mean to be disappointed.

It took less than 10 minutes for my food to arrive. I ordered a chicken leek pie and blueberry cheesecake. The presentation was great. I also love that they have coleslaw and fries in them. I took a bite of my cheesecake first because he called me. I've never had a real cheesecake here in BF but I was very surprised that they make it. Real cream cheese soothes your taste buds while the full berries burst in your mouth. It was an experience.

After devouring the cheesecake for a few seconds, I hesitated to eat the cake. I've had a ton of cakes here in the Philippines, but they never really come close. They usually cost around P250-P400 as well. So I had little hope of a cake that costs only P130.

I slowly cut into the cake and found that the texture and build was surprisingly similar to the cake I had in Australia. After the first bite, I was impressed that it tasted like I bought it in the outback. I asked if they import the cakes and was very surprised that they make it into this cozy shop.

Overall, this place is a very good find. I spent about P380 for lunch. I would like to spend more. We will come back in any case.
"
