"We arrived and were informed the restaurant does not take reservations...even though they are on OpenTable! When I mentioned OpenTable they said it does not work with their systems. We got lucky and they were not busy but I would not have been happy if we were put at the end of a long waitlist when we thought we had a reservation. It was a Saturday night and getting a table at an alternate restaurant at that point would have been difficult. I feel the restaurant remains on OpenTable to lure people to the restaurant thinking they have a secured spot which is not true. I have complained directly to OpenTable and they had very quick response (excellent customer service) saying they would check with the restaurant this week."

"Waiter was somewhat new, so didn 't have his cadence down quite yet, but we really liked this place, from the decor, to the idea of the changing menu, to the quality and flavor of the dishes themselves. They know how to do a mean blackened seasoning (which I am a big fan of) as well as putting together interesting salad combinations, fun drinks, and doing good, crunchy brusssel sprouts. We had fried fish, chicken and waffles, shrimp and grits, and a salad with a brown sugar balsamic dressing with feta and blackened chicken. Tried a few beers and a peach margarita and they even had lie bations (haha) that were non alcoholic drink combos that our girls really liked they got a kick out of being able to order something fun and different."

"The waiter didn’t seem very interested in serving us. He rarely came to the table and didn’t bring out bread when we asked him twice. The food was good, a little heavy from what I am used to in Italy. I would rate this as slightly better than your average American Italian restaurant, nothing to really write home about"

"Food was delicious. However, when I ordered the Black and Bleu skirt steak salad I was informed that it was no longer available and was no longer going to be offered. (That is unfortunate as it is one of my very favorites My second choice was the baramundi (also a favorite) , but again I was informed that it was not available. Both were on the menu, however! I was very disappointed. I think the items on the menus should have at least been lined through or the wait staff should immediately inform the customer that the particular item (s) are not available. Although the bleu cheese burger I had was delicious, it did not make up for the items I would have preferred. I asked to speak to a manager, spoke with a young man and told him how frustrated I was. He apologized, but made no gesture to make up for the negative experience. I found out later he was not a manager, but someone who oversees the tasting room. I was informed the “management” was in a meeting. My husband and I have been wine club members for several years. We frequent the restaurant in Naperville regularly. I have never been as unhappy with a CH experience as I was yesterday. Pamela Pulice"
