"Awesome experience. We went with older parents as we visited Pictou. It’s small but the energy is very positive. We had a short wait but they kept us engaged. When we seated we were greeted by the friendliest server. In fact they all were friendly. We had fish and chips and one of us the clubhouse. All the meals were excellent. When we were finished my Father in law went to the bathroom. We kidded to our server he was trying to get out of paying. For fun she slid the bill under the door. What a laugh we all had. She made our day!"

"I went for the first time today and when I went in the atmosphere, I was alive and happy. We went to the counter and was told by a very nice waitress that we could have a place. After we set ourselves, a waitress brought us a menu and there was a good selection of different plates to choose from. I have the CLT E and my friend have the Chipotle Wrap. We both have the soup of the day that was sweet potato chipotle lime. The soup was great, it was really very surprising. The texture was smooth and it was full of taste. My sandwich was delicious and I enjoyed the bread. My friend had nothing but good things to say about the Chipotle Wrap and also agreed that the soup was delicious. I would definitely recommend checking this scenic little cafe. I will definitely come back. The only negative thing that my friend and I both agreed was that when we went in, we found the cafe very warm and lacked air conditioning that would have been nice as we went there and the weather was very warm."

"Stopped in for cute little lunch which ended in an upset stomach. We were provided cutlery with food still on them. We mentioned something and they were promptly replaced. She then brought us our waters but my glass had something in it as well as lip prints from the previous drinker. I asked for a can instead as I figured I’d be safe that way. Food was okay, exactly what you’d expect for a small diner. Seated next to the front door which was kinda chilly given the season and quickly cooled the food we were eating. Likely won’t be back."

"What an amazing and charming place this place was! We stopped on our way to Cape Breton and I can't imagine a perfect meal and evening. The food was some of the best we had in Nova Scotia, which says a lot, and everything was hot. The service was quick and perfect, which is not the same, and the staff was all very friendly, personal and so helpful. Everything here combines a beautiful and intimate atmosphere that feels so special. The fed duck was to begin to die and we made sure that not a bit of it went to waste. The salmon was perfectly cooked and the sauce and accompaniments complement each other perfectly. While we don't save much space for dessert, the cocktails we had in the evening were fantastic. Recommend both the Lemon Drop and a Gin and Tonic with Steinharts Rhubarb Gin. Make this place a stop on your next trip in the area. We look forward to our next visit!"

"Cafe Italia is a great place to get your fix of pasta! The food is pretty good, although smaller portions on some dishes. The garlic fingers are pretty well the best in pictou county! Service is usually good. Would recommend as a good place to go out with some friends while in new Glasgow!"
