"Average food and an average experience. Some items such as the curry and gammon are decent enough but others such as the steak and ale pie really aren't with very little steak and what is inside is tough, fatty and chewy. The cauliflower bites were like baby food inside with mushy cauliflower and the batter' was like rubber rather than being crisp. Also, a starter we ordered to come with our main courses was missed off and we had to go to the bar to ask for it. After our main courses we ordered some dessert for our kids, initially we tried ordering the apple crumble but that wasn't available, so we had the brownie, then the lemon sorbet but that wasn't available so this ended up as chocolate icecream, then the strawberry and clotted cream icecream but this also wasn't available so we had to settle for raspberry ripple. All this out of stock on a Friday lunchtime, so I can imagine there will be a lot of disappointment over the weekend. Added to which we had a 30 minute wait for the desserts to arrive bearing in mind we had ordered 2 icecreams and 2 pre made brownies and then they only arrived after we went to the bar and asked after another table who ordered theirs 10 minutes after ours received them 5 minutes before us. It was not overly busy during our visit and judging by the size of the Phantom Winger I would estimate it was barely a third full."

"I had never heard of this place before, but decided I wanted a change so gave it a go. Me and my partner both ordered pizza, chips and some other bits. The food came really fast and the delivery driver was excellent enough to not call me (before they have even arrived) and instead parked, got out of their car, rang my flat door and delivered to me then and there. MASSIVE plus, because waiting outside in the rain not knowing which car I'm supposed to be waving down is insanity. The pizza was a good change from the usual pizza available in Preston and we both really enjoyed it. It's similar to standard Italian style pizza honestly. Have to credit the pricing too, way cheaper than most places, especially as the food was great. Highly recommend, will be ordering again soon!"

"We reserved a table for 6. When we arrived, there was a lengthy queue to reach the till. We reached the front of the queue and were informed that the staff had been unable to check the booking system due to time constraints therefore a table hadn’t been reserved for us. The restaurant was very busy and the staff did seem overwhelmed however they apologised and did manage to find us a table for 4 and a table for 2 which were next to each other. We ordered the waffles (2 x Nutella; 2 x chocolate and 1 x banoffee) and went to sit down. After a short while we were informed that the restaurant had run out of Nutella so we were asked to change these 2 orders. A few minutes later we were informed that the banoffee order would also have to be changed. We ended up with 5 chocolate waffles which, although we enjoyed, was not what we had ordered initially. Overall the experience was disappointing and we will not be visiting again."
