It 's off of highway 20 right on the Saint Lawrence, so I 'm not surprised tourists have never heard of La Boustifaille. They usually just drive right past this quaint village on the Saint Lawrence. If you 're heading to the Gaspe or to Le Rocher Perce area you 'll need a break and want have a bite. This is the perfect place to stop, take a break and enjoy AUTHENTIC quebecois cuisine at its very best, plus take in the the scenic views of a quaint town (Saint Jean Port Joli). Pigs knuckles ragout, the true 'French Canadian ' delicacy on par with poutine but much more refined. You must have this dish if you decide to eat here. You will not regret it. There 's also veal, roast beef, pork and all kinds of tasty dishes, quebecois-style. You will never forget this meal. You can start it off with a beef broth or a pea soup and finish it with something sweet...pastry in maple syrup, carrot cake, chocolate cake, maple syrup cake, cake, cake, cake. Apple pie, maple syrup, lemon pie, pie, pie, pie and all kinds of puddings. Service is professional and very friendly. Enjoy."
