"Ate here last Friday and at 19:00 were the first to arrive. The lights were off and it looked closed... we almost didn 't go in despite having a reservation! On first glance this venue looks dated and quite like a 1990s campsite cafe, but don 't be fooled! I 'm very glad we persevered. The restaurant is very plain looking but was actually immaculately clean. Staff were kind and helped with my broken French. We ate mains and desserts along with wine and coffee. No complaints about any of the food the magret de canard was ginormous, cooked beautifully. The steaks were excellent, very flavoursome and tender (unlike a few other tourist venues we tried! and salad garnishes were fresh and crispy. We had one of the lower priced wines and everyone enjoyed it. Toilet facilities were v clean. The restaurant became busier around 1930 and this improved the atmosphere. Despite appearances this place serves good food and has pleasant staff we really enjoyed it."
