"Overrated... Michelin 2018??? No way! Tuna salad with tuna from the tin, smoked salmon dry, over salted... and already turning dark brown on the edges... yet NO apology from the manager rather the contrary telling me I’d be mistaken about the food. Pictures attached, see for yourself. The best part yet is that the tuna salad costs a staggering EUR 10.60 and the salmon plate, with nothing but dry smoked salmon EUR 12.00. If you can’t accept criticism from a client as a restaurant manager and not even apologise whether you agree with the client or not you are certainly in the wrong business! I don’t believe the restaurant was ever Michelin accredited. It really was a disaster and example of poor customer service, arrogant management and terrible food quality."

"We have visited this restaurant on a number of occasions and can honestly say the welcome was second to non. The staff could not do enough and one waiter in particular when he is there assists with translation of the menu if you require it. Sant Carles De La Rapita is an old Catalonian port and if one were to understand the history you would know that English people are always well received. The food at this restaurant is typical of the region and the price reflects the quality of food and surroundings. The are many establishments in Sant Carles which cater for those looking for a cheap meal and the service and surroundings are what any sensible person may expect. This is a wonderful untainted place which fortunately has not been spoilt by commercial tourism."

"This is a family run restaurant and great at typical local Catalan dishes. We mainly go at lunchtime (1-4pm approx) when there is an excellent Menu del Dia on weekdays (not Thursdays) which is usually 3 courses with wine and bread (for 10 euros at April 2012 -more during fiestas) Do not expect to get British food. The kitchen produces fresh local home cooking and with a bit of effort to understand the menu (the staff will do their best to translate) you will really enjoy it. The quality and value is borne out by the number of local workers who go there regularly for their lunchtime meal. The surroundings are smart and spotless and the service friendly. We have taken friends there who have been delighted at the quality and value."
