"After trying this place a couple of times I have given up. It always looks like it's going to be good, and sounds alright on the menu. Then, when the dish eventually shows up (the service is leisurely to put it gently) one is left with the impression that the chef has counted out every chickpea and Jerusalem artichoke without generosity. Neither can I suss out the point of the menu or how anything is prepared. One is, rather, presented with a list of ingredients that might as well be crossword puzzle clues. On the positive side the room is attractive and the food is well presented. Maybe this will grow up to be a good restaurant. For now, it feels like a student project."

"Convenient for the Hotel Smartino where we were staying, we chose it for its unpretentious, traditional style and cuisine. Very reasonable prices. Was just what we wanted on the night!"

"One of the best pizzas I've ever eaten. Absolutely recommended! I had the pizza Mario, Rucola, Olives, Peperoni and Feta and small shrimps. Very cozy little restaurant, very nice and attentive staff. If you're in Swabian Hall, you have to go there! But a reservation is recommended! Without reservation, you can have a small table for two people on a Friday night."

"Sunday lunch buffet was very tasty. Sushi was fresh and plenty of variety. Nicely arranged and cleanly presented. There are many options for meat or fish to take to the grill, and our waitress bringing the cooked food back to the table was a nice...touch and avoided having to stand around at the grill. Plenty of fresh fruit to choose from for dessert. Also sweets and ice cream available which I did not have. Our waitress was very friendly and attentive"

"My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed everything about the Goldener Adler. The ambiance of the restaurant was very attractive and yet the appearnce took us back to perhaps a period in the early to mid 1900's. I ordered the veal in a rich brown sauce that was outstanding. And my wife ordered a wiener schnitzel which she raved about. Add accompaning standard German salads, wonderful fried potatoes smothered in onions, hard crusted German Brochen rollls, and a German White Reisling wine, and how can you go wrong."
